For my older chooms and anyone who appreciates retro tech…a Cyberpunk 2077 themed Commodore 64! For those not aware Commodore has been putting out new updated models of the Commodore 64. The Commodore 77 looks really cool.

It comes with a special demo of Cyberpunk 2077 on an Arasaka themed cartridge!

So I love my Steam Machine, it’s even become my main platform over my much more powerful desktop rig. But as I got the 512GB model I find myself swapping between my two SDCards regularly (I have two A2 cards that I originally got for my Steam Deck - a 512GB and a 256GB).

So anyway as frequently as I’ve been swapping them it’s got me worried about how sturdy it is. If it’s a concern I could eventually get a 1TB SDCard to swap less but I’d rather not if it’s not a major concern?

When I set HDR to ON under Display settings (it’s on the same screen as Brightness and Contrast) and then APPLY it has a brief flicker/blanking and then snaps back to OFF.

If you know how to fix this please let me know!

If you are experiencing this issue then PLEASE go to my bug report with Ubisoft and Contribute to it. It needs I think 5 contributions for them to look at it.

My bug report is here:

https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/assassins-creed/black-flag-resynced/bug-reporter/issues/ACBFR-2015

Go there then log in with your Ubisoft account and contribute. I’m working on submitting a bug report to valve.

I used to be able to see achievement rarity when I clicked on earned achievements. But now I can see them for achievements that I have not yet earned but once they are earned the screen is blank where rarity is supposed to be.

I’m not super big into achievements but they certainly were a lot more interesting to look through when knowing the rarity.

I’ve tried in AC Black Flag Resynced but also in KCD 1 and Mad Max (the two latter I had on SDCard from my Steam Deck).

I’ve tried with the included Steam Controller but also an Xbox controller via Bluetooth and wired.

I love everything else, if I can just figure out vibrations I’ll be 100%.

So it’s clear getting a collector’s edition is a forlorn hope but I wonder if there’s any possibility that someone got a CE mainly for the statue and would be willing to sell me the cloth map and journal. I like “in universe” items particularly.

What is the likelihood of someone out there getting the CE mainly for the statue and so be willing to sell the in universe stuff and where would I post to try to find such a situation?

You can now get on the list.

I stopped lurking as regularly here as the eons passed waiting for this, so sorry if this has been brought up recently. I think I’m going to need prescription lenses so if the launch is imminent can we order prescription lenses yet?

All this year I’ve been thinking that the Steam Machine is coming out at the worst possible time but I’m actually starting to think the opposite is true. In a market where certain components are going to be high and volatile I think having an option for something with more stability (even if it’s a bit higher than we’d like) could be a really good thing for PC gaming to weather this AI apocalypse.

I’m just curious. I’m an experienced AC player. I played the first AC way back in the day and then I’ve been into it in a big way since AC Origins and everything since which I’ve adored.

I did purchase BF a while back but could never get it to play nicely on my ultrawidescreen which kept me from getting into it.

So actually at this point I’m happy with that as I essentially have a big, brand new AC game to play. I do enjoy the “RPG style” of Origins, Odyssey, etc but the main draw for me is an immersive, historical tale in a big open world.

And I’ve loved playing in the Caribbean pirate genre since Sid Meier’s Pirates! on the Commodore 64.

So anyway. Are most people long time lovers of B

I’ve been thinking of watching the pirate TV show Black Sails to get in the spirit of Black Flag. Would that show fit nicely? I watched a bit years ago but don’t remember the details but I believe it had a mix of real life and fictional characters. I think it actually takes place at the same time period so I wonder if any of the real world characters are also in Black Flag.

If anyone else is interested perhaps we could even watch and discuss episodes as a group as something to do while we wait for Black Flag to release.🏴‍☠️
