Hoping someone can help with this, I had to restore Windows 11 on my machine and it's updated the version of Outlook to the newest version too. Ever since that happened though I haven't been getting the event reminder pop-up window appearing at all, just the bell icon notification, and even then it doesn't always seem to show up, or the overlay doesn't appear and it just changes the bell colour
Is there something I can do to re-enable the pop-up reminder window, or get a similar behaviour again? I've missed a few meetings because I haven't heard a notification for the bell or just haven't seen it because I was away from my desk for a minute (the old pop-up would stay until you'd dismissed i
Wondering if people can help me with this, there was a fanfic I read ages ago which involved Naruto signing the crocodile summoning contract. I'm pretty sure it was one where he was getting training before the third round of the chunin exams, and I think there was one of the seven swordsmen involved in the training, but I might be wrong about that.
I've been looking around, but the closest I've found was the one where he gets Zabuza's sword, ends up dating Mei after the second round and signs the shark contract, but I'm positive it was the crocodile one in this story (or possibly alligator?). I've got a vague recollection he was using a weapon with crocodile teeth as a blade, but that
Fairly new to 3D printing, so hoping this is easily resolved, I've been finding when I use Orca Slicer to slice models with larger overhangs the overhang walls are either really rough looking, like swirls on a fingerprint, or have actual gaps where the inner wall can be seen. At first I thought it was the supports causing it, but hiding them there's clearly no difference between with and without supports. Any suggestions on getting a better finish?
I've done this myself, someone who's older has complained about how they won't be able to retire until they're in their 70s and I've cracked "Wait, you guys get to retire?" or something. After talking to someone who was dealing with this (a nurse in their 60s who's retirement age had been pushed back a decade) I realised that kind of joke is actually pretty self destructive for our generation:
Even if it's just meant as a joke, or even to commiserate, the media's primed boomers to think of younger generations as entitled to self centered. Unless you know them well, there's a good chance they'll take it as you dismissing their complaint as a non-issue (much like when millenn
Hi all! I've just been getting back into Total Warhammer after doing some multiplayer games with friends and was wondering if anyone had a list of the units you can recruit from different allied races? It seems like a really cool thing to build a couple of armies around, but I haven't been able to find any information on what units you can get from who
I'm trying to get into photographing cosplayers now that things are opening up again, and wanted to be able to use their name/alias as the filename when exporting. Darktable's able to handle it when the filename isn't unique, but it only starts adding the incremental number at the end when it finds a duplicate, and 01 is always the *second* image that's been created with that name
Is there a way to *always* add an incremental number to the end of exported files, starting with 01? It's mostly so that, down the line, I don't end up getting confused and missing the photos which haven't been numbered or losing track of the sequence. I'd be fine with zero indexed filenames as well, although
It's amazing seeing how much people have been able to impact Kellogg's application systems, not just overwhelming their HR's ability to filter out real and fake applications but also taking down the entire system. If we can keep this pressure up it's going to make it impossible for Kellogg's to resplace many of the union workers, and it's going to be a tactic which can be used against any company trying the same tactics.
That said, I've seen a lot of people talking about how their applications were from things like "Seymore Butts" and other silly names. While it's funny to do a few of these, if you're really wanting to make an impact and gum up their hiring process then this is going to
I've been really enjoying getting up to speed with Blender again and learning sculpting, but I've been running into performance issues when doing texture painting or sculpting high poly meshes. I've done the usual thing for trying to work out the cause of this, even using the performance panel for task manager to try and identify any bottlenecks and upgrading the GPU a while back (which did help with render time), but nothing seems to be getting maxed out when any of this happens
While looking at something unrelated yesterday though I was surprised to find that my RAM only has a clock speed of 1600MHz, and that it's DDR3 rather than DDR4. Is it possible that this is the reason why I'm seein
I've been trying to get back into blender with the new sculpting tools they introduced/improved recently and I'm loving it so far. One thing I've not been able to find from when I was using 2.7 though is a way of doing version control of my models. Previously there was a plugin which let you control it through Blender, but I haven't been able to find a version that works with 2.8
Is there a new plugin or feature in Blender 2.8 which would let me commit changes to a Git repository? Not too fussed about the other controls, like creating branches or checking out specific versions, but it'd be nice to at least be able to commit the changes within Blender itself
So apologies if this is something people have asked before or if it's off topic, but I caught the debate between Matt Dillahunty and Ray Comfort from June recently and there's something that's been bugging me about Ray's responses to Matt. I've seen them talking on the Athiest Experience before, and I'm wondering if maybe this is something I've just missed it being discussed or something
Whenever asked for evidence of God, Ray seems to respond "If you open your heart, ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and seek Him sincerely, you will find Him", implying sincerely trying to believe and a willingness to follow God is all it takes to receive a revelation. At the same time though, when Matt poi
I've always wanted to own a pet reptile, particularly a snake when I was younger. After reading through some of the posts here and reading through a link to http://bluetongueskinks.net/ I think I'm going to be going with a blue tongue, largely because it's my first reptile and I'm a little squeemish about the idea of live food (I know, I know, it's silly, but it would make it easier to convince my landlord too).
One thing I saw on bluetongueskinks.net was that you can feed your skink good quality catfood as it's protein intake. They mentioned mixing in the occasional silkworm or two, but I was wondering whether this was necessary or just a treat, and if necessary how I would go about stori
