I am upgrading from a 1080p 144hz VA panel monitor and I am conflicted by these two choices. ASUS is IPS, AOC is VA panel. I keep seeing reviews of people saying IPS has ‘glowing” on blacks in a dark room. The refresh rate for ASUS is 180hz, AOC is 165hz which is too close to make any difference to me.

Also, I never had a curved monitor before, ans the AOC is curved. Is there really much of a difference?

ASUS is $237 and AOC is on sale for $199.

Any advice and guidance is highly appreciated.

Also, if you have any other recommendations, please let me know. It needs to be 144hz or higher, g-sync compatible, and good picture quality with not too much “glowing” by blacks

We are having hurricane windows and doors installed. Been very dissatisfied with the company so far. Left a review on their Yelp, only for them to say that they will take their workers off the job unless I take the review down. Is this legal?

I know someone who paid for workmans comp for their ‘friend’. It was supposed to be only for 1 month. She put it on her credit card.

Now, every month for the past 6 months, she has been getting charged $450 a month. She tried calling the bank, and they said that she would need to contact the insurance company and get the payment on his account again. But he is REFUSING to do so. She cant call the company since they will only speak to him.

She asked the bank if she can close the card, but they said it will still charge her as credit.

I updated to the latest version. It says ‘Introduces port forwarding to improve the performance of P2P applications. Go to the Advanced Settings, enable port forwarding, and set active port number in your favorite P2P app to get greater performance’. Issue is that in the advanced settings, there is no option for port forwarding. There is no option for port forwarding anywhere in the settings.
