I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable in NHL history, and players. I find myself down EliteProspect rabbit hole more often then I care to admit.

The name “John LeClair” came across my desk this afternoon. I checked out his stats expecting a 90’s 3rd liner who carved out a decent career.

I couldn’t believe it. 50-goals in 3 straight seasons. Over a PPG in his career. Played for a long time. Never had a bad year outside of injuries. Absolute MONSTER. How have I NEVER heard this name before? This overlapped in part with my childhood.

What other names did you find out about way later than you should?

There has never been a black long snapper in the NFL.

This event is for one of my best friends, and should be a pretty swanky event on a NYC rooftop in August. The guests are going to be a mix of east-coast old money, and new money.

I would like to pick out an outfit this weekend, but am at a loss as to what I should look for in a suit. I'm early 30's, light complexion, tall, and with an athletic build. Cool-colors and tones look good on me. I'm traditionally more conservative with my attire, but would like to be a bit more stylish and adventurous for this event (but not too much).

I have a nice light-green blazer I've considered wearing, but didn't know if it would be cocktail enough, or quite how to style it.

You chicken shit. I was trying to buy my go-to 15 pack of Noodle Long and Soft. Got to the course and opened it up to find each ball in the individual sleeves was replaced with Taylormade TP5 balls.

If you’re gonna do it at least fucking do it. Don’t make me do it unknowingly.

I also preemptively apologize to anyone who thought they were buying TP5’s and got my Noodles.

It’s becoming painfully apparent that I am not built for playoff hockey.

I’ve been up later than usual so many times the past 2 weeks. I’m starting to crack. I can’t keep up with this grind. It’s my fault though. I didn’t prepare properly during the season, and now it’s starting to bite me.
