My family recently acquired a wonderful cabin in Gladwin! I have been going to "the pit" in lapeer forever (state land, well known "drive up and start shooting" outdoor range. no range marshals).

Does anyone know of anything similar to this in or near Gladwin? I prefer to shoot outdoors as opposed to a crowded, expensive, and over-regulated indoor range.

The areas in green on this map seem to be ok to shoot on.

I'm still totally confused on the regulations about shooting on state land, even after reading them many times AND asking a DNR agent on the phone. As far as I can tell - It seems once

I have yet to meet ANYONE in person who knows who they even were.

This group toured with A Perfect Circle and that's where I found out about them. The album one minute science is great and still holds up. Sort of an older NIN/APC vibe to them.

The main single was was "not trading", but the entire album is great and very dynamic. Goes from industrial rock to somber acoustic rock.

Anyone know WTF happened to them? Their singer in particular had an excellent "breathy" voice that was instantly recognizable. Their subsequent albums were all pretty bad unfortunately and they seem to just have faded into oblivion aft
