I won't name my force for obvious reasons but I've noticed that the quality of our uniform/kit is getting increasingly worse.

We used to be issued decent quality wicking tops with 'police' embroidered onto the sleeves (I've still got 3 that have lasts years under a stabbie). The new tops are cheap, last about a year before falling apart, don't have the embroidery and are ill fitting. Same goes for our new trousers which fall apart after a few months. Our torches have been replaced with knockoff plastic things that work for a day and break.

I've spoken with stores and they just say it's cost cutting and to buy my own kit if I don't like it.

I've heard they're replacing our asps this year
