MCG is putting out the call for GMs for their 2026 suite of cons, and I'm looking at it curiously, wondering about how it might work out. The temptation to sign up to run three sessions and get a free badge is strong, but I'm sure it's a lot of work and stress to run that many games across one con. I'd love to hear the stories of anyone who has signed up for this and done it themselves; the good, the bad, the weird and wild, anything notable or anything you'd tell an interested party to encourage or warn them.

One of the most common comments about Dispatch I hear in all forums is "Why the hell did Blazer make us cut someone so early in our run? It causes so many problems in the long run, Blazer is such an idiot for doing this." And it makes me realize how many people just forget an important cutscene.

Chapter 2, your first day, after Granny's Donuts, after Invisigal shouts you down and punches you, after Sonar eats your twinks, Robert sits down to talk with Blazer and Chase about the day's proceedings. Both Blazer and Chase are very impressed with the day despite the issues at Granny's, but they're a little hesitant to expect any more than that. Remember, this dialogue does not change based on yo

Yeah, it's another LKC post. Sorry.

I'm one of the many who got their LKC cancelled. I hesitated just a moment too long trying to figure out my payment details, and now I'm suffering for it. Now it's vanished into the aether of double-priced secondary market sales and likely completely out of my reach.

Is there even a point to collecting Lego Castle anymore? Everyone always said this is The Best Lego Castle Set. People say it changed their life. It's the shining golden example of the theme. And now I can't have it unless I shell out upwards of 600 dollars, which is a really tough sell for someone like me on a hobby purchase. Especially as someone who particularly likes the Lion Knights,

Something I'm very excited to do with Lego Castle sets and figures is to build out a narrative with my little guys. To that end, I've been picking and choosing which factions I want to use to populate my world and build its foundation with. I've settled on nine total factions I like, with three heroic, three villainous, and three anti-hero, neutral, independent factions. I really like how neat and clean it lines up, but I've run into a problem with the villainous factions specifically.

See, the three existing Castle factions I think would make a good cabal of villains would be Black Falcons, Serpent Knights, and Raven Knights. In my head, they're built around excellence in martial combat, d

My group and I have primarily been doing theater of the mind roleplaying, and with our upcoming campaign, they've expressed an interest in a more crunchy system with some battle maps. I'm always willing to make an effort for my players and challenge myself, so I accepted the request. Unfortunately, I made a rookie mistake of going with a somewhat esoteric campaign concept set in a 90s-era city, and it's been a real challenge to find battle maps to build encounters around when almost all the map designers are making fantasy, sci-fi, and cyberpunk genre maps, in that order (since those are probably the three most common genres that want a battle map).

I've found a scant few sources for "regul

You can watch the video here. I'm a big fan of KamSandwich for his board game stuff, so seeing him branch out into my specific niche hobby corner has been a delight. He actually already talked about FATAL once in a "worst board game mechanics" video but he goes into a little more detail here in its section.

There's a ton of content in this video; he discusses upwards of 9 or so games and mentions a couple more on the side. I knew a lot of the big names but some of these flew under my radar, so more additions to my weird TRPG knowledge collection! I know "I review a bad RPG and we gawk at it" is pretty well-trod territory, but Kam's got a style all his own s
