Top three in tenure and games played as a Sabre:

Dahlin (2018, 436 gp)

Thompson (2018, 331 gp)

Jokiharu (2019, 309 gp)

If Jokiharu gets moved, then it’s Cozens (2020, 280 gp) in third.

Since the trade deadline, we have moved off:

Girgensons (2013, 688 gp)

Okposo (2016, 516 gp)

Skinner (2018, 427 gp)

Mittelstadt (2017, 339 gp)

Olofsson (2018, 314 gp)

Safe to say we are trying to shed the drought identity for a new identity formed by our current stars.

It’s their team now.

Sucks Tage can’t go because of the injury.

Sounds like Ukko Pekka and Henri essentially turned down Worlds due to contract status

Canada: Power, Cozens, Byram

Germany: Peterka

Sweden: Dahlin

Per Casey himself. Outrageous dereliction of duty to not be having serious conversations.

You cannot properly judge trade offers without understanding what his value on your team is (production and contract).

For a GM who early-paid Cozens and Power, this is inexcusable and a clear sign that GMKA is out of his depth.

Just curious if anyone has been thinking through who GMKA should target to fill the gaps of our future and current roster.

For me, it's a Selke candidate forward who can play a fast style. My target would be Joel Eriksson Ek.

  • He is on a very valuable contract through 28-29 (5.25 AAV).
  • His Movement clauses do not kick in until next year, so we just need to convince Minnesota
  • Minnesota, despite a decent 10 game run, is struggling this season.
  • Minnesota is struggling as the 5th oldest team in the league, likely to teardown
  • He hits and plays excellent defense. A well-rounded player.
  • He is 26 and from Sweden, great age, culture fit

I recognize how difficult it would be to ag
