Booked AUH to JFK in First in points for two. Normally don't book first but it was like only 30k more than business so figured why splurge.

The aircraft got changed to an A350-1000 which has no first so was downgraded. It happens not even worried but I call (and wait 30 minutes) asking for the process for a partial refund and was told that because it is an award flight there is no partial refund.

That can't be right? First and business are separate classes. This isn't like losing preferred seats due to a swap. Anyone have experience on an involuntary downgraded on Etihad award flight.

Only has a single card and it is a legendary weapon, outfit, or dweller. Even better would be if you could convert say 5 normal lunchboxes into one golden lunchbox.

Just pulled the trigger a minute ago for two (160k x 2). I have been slightlyshort and needed statement to close and transfer so have been fearing it would get snatched. It is 787 First Class so the least impressive no apartments or double beds or showers but still a very nice seat and not much more than business class.

Not much more to say other than I am excited. I know there are better deals out there but First Class and Etihad on 15 hour flight. Looking forward to it. Doing a 40 hour stopover in Abu Dhabi to make the schedules align. Amex FHC for the win.

The new change (Bilt 2.1 LOL) announced today makes the Blue card look pretty good in comparison to other 2x "everything else" cards.

Given all the chaos I booked backup tickets (fully refundable) which leave about two hours after my Delta flight is scheduled to board. Worst case scenario if Delta cancels hopefully AA doesn't. If they both cancel well F me. What is the latest I can cancel for a refund with AA?

If Delta ends up delaying but not cancelling it could come down to the wire.

I got an email today that my new companion cert is available (card renewed Nov 1) but it has a 12/31/2026 expiration date.

I am not complaining, that extra almost 2 months makes it a bit easier to planning, but I don't recall this happening before.
