My 11 year old is a voracious reader, but I find it hard to find books she will like. Suggest me a book that:
- is either non-fiction or sci-fi (hard sci-fi preferred)
- * does not contain romance beyond some kissing
- * no gore. Mild violence is OK.
Here are some books she liked:
- Harry Potter series
- The martian
- Ender's game (but not Ender's shadow)
- The "I survived" series

Anyone here plays the New York Time strands puzzle? Jane Austen makes an appearance today :)
Invasive starfish? I could not find a screenshot of the blight, but the 5-limbed trees, covering the landscape in a sweeping mass of destruction reminded me of the hordes of Northern Pacific Starfish. They run over reefs and eat or suffocate all other life there. Here’s a small clip about them.

irishcentral.com/news/irish-american-vaccine-...Does anyone know why Min never tried to take the A’dam off of Egwene? During my first read I assumed that opening requires a channeler, but that is not true. Matt was able to figure out the mechanism and Min is an intelligent woman. Why did she never try? Especially in the very early days when Egwene was fighting with all her heart and would have accepted any potential risk to her.
