Hi! With the summer almost at its end I am busy preparing my Miata for winter times, getting the drain holes clean, waxing the car, etc. However, I'm still looking for a proper waterproof sealant for the roof. I'm unsure which product to buy, though. My local MX-5 shop (in the Netherlands) recommends products from Raggtop, but they sell waterproof sealants for both cloth and vinyl soft tops, and I am unsure which one I have.

Does anyone have any tips, recommendations or experiences they want to share? I've never waterproofed a convertible roof before, so any help is welcome! For info: I have a 2015 NC2 with a soft top (no PRHT).

I drive an NC2 (Mk3.2) MX-5 from 2015 with a detachable hardtop. I installed the hard top just before winter with the soft top down and beneath the hard top. However, this morning, I accidentally hit the lever for "popping up" the soft top, which you would usually only do when lifting up the soft top to close it. However, the hard top is currently installed and in the way of the soft top so it does not "pop up" fully. In fact, I'm not sure if it's popped up at all. I cannot seem to push it back into a locked position, however, or it is still locked.

In short: I am unsure if hitting the lever for the soft top has caused the soft top to become unlocked and/or damaged underneath
