On my first watch, I remember being rather annoyed at the writers for making Hank a sort of super detective genius. His family and friends constantly doubted him when his "superstitions" about Heisenberg, Gus, and his meth operations were actually true. I was annoyed because he seemed extremely mary-sue-like in the sense that he was never wrong, despite being confined in his home in a wheelchair.

However, later on I just had to commend Vince and his team of writers. Despite Hank being right about those very superstitions, he was extremely shortsighted.
