T--Spoon

I had posted this as a comment on a different thread but I wanted to make a dedicated post for it.

I was trying to figure out why the west coast servers were so laggy, as someone who plays only on NA West servers, I was confused why my ping was exactly the same on West or East coast servers after the Gridmaster update, so I did a bit of digging.

Turns out, if you grab the IP address of any of the NA West servers right now, and put it in an IP Geolocator, currently (as far as I can tell) EVERY NA West server is being hosted in.... New Jersey. In fact, the location is the same for all of the servers I tested, both NA West and East, they are all hosted in New Jersey.

Hello r/SmallYoutubers

I've got some time to kill, so I figured I'd do some channel reviews! A little bit about myself: I've been on YouTube for almost 15 years, and I like to think I know what makes for a good YouTube video / channel, even if it's not exactly the type of stuff I watch. I have my own channel with ~14k subscribers that I work on full time. (I wont be sharing the channel name, but if you have any questions or want to see some stats, I can provide them)

If you'd like me to give some feedback on your channel / thumbnails / a video, please post the link below! (PLEASE POST THE SPECIFIC LINK TO THE THING YOU WANT ME TO LOOK AT, along with any prompts / questions you wants answ

Hello r/NewTubers! Ask me anything about creating on YouTube and I'll do my best to give you a useful answer!

Who I am: I have been making YouTube videos for about 2.5 years, and in that time I've posted over 200 videos, gained ~12k subscribers, 1.8m views and 500k hours of watch time. I know that doesn't make me an expert, but I have found some success in my corner of YouTube, and I know when I was starting out I had so many questions and nobody to ask them to. So hit me with anything you got, and I'll do my best to answer.

Disclaimer: I don't really do shorts. My niche doesn't really thrive in short form content, in fact quite the opposite. I've made some, and can answer basic questions

This morning, I received an email from "Leo Garcia" a supposed Partner Manager at YouTube, from the email address "no-reply-eventsatgoogle@google.com" inviting me to join their "new Channel Memberships Bootcamp Program on YouTube!" Initially I was interested, as I've been hoping to actually get access to a partner manager for a while now, but reading through the email it seems weird.

1. There is multiple spelling and grammar mistakes, which usually indicates some sketchy stuff. Not that its impossible for people to make mistakes, but if this is a legit YouTube employee sending out an email to potential creators to join this program, I would hope/expect them to proof read.

2. It spe

I'm trying to transfer my TFSA to Questrade, so I made an account, followed all the steps, deposited the minimum amount of money required to make sure it works (which it took and shows in the app) but it still says Action Required. Is there something else that I need to do that isn't listed?

I'm tired of seeing all these posts of people complaining about low views. Honestly, I keep improving my content each video, and my views, watch time, subs and revenue keep going up! It's not the algorithm, it's you.

As the title says, looking if there's anything to automatically set ad breaks. I usually go through and set ads breaks every minute, but my videos are getting longer and longer, and I thought I remembered someone mentioning something like I described.

If you know of anything like what I described (or maybe any other useful add-ons/programs you think other creators should know about), post them here!

I didn't realize that I had the wrong rates set on my W-8BEN, and was being taxed higher than I should have been based on the US/Canada tax treaty. I have since changed those settings in Adsense by submitting a new W-8BEN to be taxed at the correct rate, and was wondering what do I have to do to get the withheld money back? It was incorrectly set since January of 2023, and I only recently (2-3 days ago) fixed the setting. Anyone with any information / similar experiences with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It'd be nice to know if the damage he's taking is from life taps vs. taking aggro or getting hit by a spell, to know how much I have to worry about them taking even more damage, and therefore how much to heal them. If anyone has a solution, hmu.
