I have a 4 bay NAS with 4x HDD's, each disk is a separate Storage pool, SHR without data protection.
(I know, I know... but this data isn't critical, and bulk storage is more important that a redundant array).
I want to upgrade the disks to larger capacity, but as I have 4x single disk Storage Pools using all 4 bays in my NAS, I think the only way to do this is to use a USB enclosure to copy the data one disk at a time to the new disks?
Can anyone give me a hint how to do this properly?
Hi,
I'm currently modifying an existing an Asus AiMesh network and I'm having some trouble with the latest addition...
I currently have all and only RT-AX1800U devices in the system I am attempting to set up.
The current setup has a main router which is providing internet access, this has a mesh node connected via wifi. This works perfectly fine.
I want to connect a second node to the existing first node via a wired connection (not directly to the main router).
I currently have it connected via ethernet with media converters and a long optic fiber.
Due to the layout of the building, I cannot connect the new second node directly to the main router. I'm also restricted to using the m
Hi,
I have a form I am creating and as part of that, I have a List Box to select one of 6 options.
I need to have some text fields elsewhere in the same document auto-populate with values specific to the option selected in the List Box.
So, Option 1 in the list box will auto-populate the other text fields with text A, B, C
Option 2 will instead populate the same fields with text X,Y, Z. etc etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I need to do a calculation where I have a nominal value and an upper and lower limit. I'm looking to make a calculation that will tell me the percentage change of a 4th measured variable value from the nominal value with respect to the upper and lower limits, either positive or negative.
For example:
Nominal: 50 Lower: 0 Upper: 100 Measured1: 60 Measured2: 20
Measured1 would return 20%, Measured2 would return -60%
I'm currently attempting to import an ODB++ file that appears to have been made in Altium Designer into the latest version of Diptrace, but I am getting the following error when 'Parsing: eda...'
Incorrect Property Record: PRP String '<redacted text string here>'
The file subsequently does not open as the operation fails at this point. If I remove one error by editing the odb>steps>pcb>eda>data file, it throws another error on a different string in the data file. (I noticed that strangely I have to close and re-open Diptrace between each try or it'll still see the old data and throw the old error message). I have tried manually removing all the problematic strings from the data file in th
I'm interested in seeing inside to see roughly how it works. I have a 3D printable design for the Fallout video game 'Mini Nuke' so making a 3D printable internal assembly would be cool.
So my son is showing an interest in getting into scratch building RC cars and stuff and I'm looking for an old book I used to use years ago but I can't find it anywhere.
About 25-ish years ago I used to borrow a book from my local library that had plans for a bunch of RC projects. The book was probably from the '80's or so maybe.
It had all sorts of projects including cars, boats, a tracked snow vehicle, a solar-powered rover, and even a submarine.
Each chapter was the complete plans and instructions for a different project and you'd photocopy or draw the designs in the book to card stock and balsa wood and assemble the vehicles.
The plans would still be very useable today, just with m
I'm looking to build a circuit to produce two 10MHz bipolar square waves that are 180 degrees out of phase to within 1 degree phase error, at 1V peak-peak centered around 0V with a transition time of less than 200ps <1ns ideally, but can stretch to <10ns.
The signals will be fed into 1 Megohm inputs on a frequency counter.
I plan to run this from a reference frequency (rubidium, GPSDO) etc to produce a very accurate waveform for calibrating a function generator.
Can anyone suggest the simplest way to produce this?
So far I'm thinking either a dual differential comparator, or two parallel schmitt trigger opamp circuits with one inverting, the other non-inverting.
Is there a 'singl
It's high time for me to get a new coat.
I'm looking for a great coat or similar and I would like to get something decent tailored or bespoke.
Does anyone have any recomendations for a quality place to get something like this?
As per the title..
I just extensively repaired a friends Korg X-911 guitar synth, which included a full capacitor replacement (a bunch were leaking) cleaning all jacks, repairing a damaged PCB (someone wound the stand bolt in too far, punching a hole in the circuit board...) and deoxit everywhere, etc.
Not it's time to tune it, but the manual calls for a WT-10A tuner, and to make certain settings for the output signal.
Unfortunately it neglects to say just what that signal is...
If anyone has a link for the WT-10A manual, or has one and can scan it, or if the amplitude and frequency of the output can be measured or if it's known for the below settings, it would be greatly appreciated!
