Hey everyone,

Would love some suggestions for seafood restaurants - late notice but for tomorrow.

My requirements aren’t particular - just good quality seafood - crab, prawns, oysters, bugs, whatever.

I’m Newtown way but prepared to drive a couple of hours. Trying to avoid Bondi, Coogee, Manly etc due to crowds. Also don’t want to do the seafood market - or cook for ourselves. Nothing at Crown Casino.

So, I was considering Harbourtown in Wollongong (might have procrastinated too much as haven’t checked availability). Or just the platter at Felix.

We’ve been to the Hawkesbury oyster place before.

Would just love any good recommendations - sorry for the ramble.

Figma is obviously a great tool to represent designs - both in terms of components and journeys etc.

But why do designers (in conjunction with business users) just create these massive, monolithic figma designs - that take ages to load and are so hard to version control.

Why not have separate figmas per screen, for example.

It’s not lighltweight like Mural / Miro for specifying flows - but people seem to use Figma for the same purpose.

Firstly, apologies for the vagaries of this post. A full brief will need to be produced - but I’m sort of preempting by trying to see where we would even place the brief.

Our software company has a need for a design specialist - short term for specific needs but it is an ongoing and broad need.

Looked at fiberr/uptask etc - and wondering if they are common locations.

Our initial need is to modernise our look and feel (less/css) across some very specific controls - in both mobile and desktop views. Specific designs (Figmas etc) are available.

The JS/mark up is produced but it would reviewed and changeable in both short and medium/long term.

Unfortunately while our core components (i

Hi all,

Was hoping to ask for some community assistance/advice on the ticket buying process for the Man City game.

For background, I’m flying from Australia with my father who is a life long palace supporter. He’s 80 so this is a bit of a special trip for him - he hasn’t been back to the UK in years.

Anyway, I thought it would be special to try and get to a game and it happens the Palace v City game is on when we are in London.

I’ve signed up as a ‘Gold’ supporter to allow me to purchase up to two tickets when they go on sale.

I’ve diarised for when they go on sale so I can be ready to purchase online. A few questions:

  • I have no idea how quickly tickets sell when the window opens -

Hello r/elevators! I'm not a regular visitor of this place but have a query in relation to a quote we have received.

AUD approximately $18,000 per lift (x 2) to install a rope brake to prevent uncontrolled movement. Does that sound reasonable?

Hi all,

My partner is interested in becoming a nurse but it's all a little confusing in understanding the various options and requirements. As a mature age student, I'm also interested to know if there are exemptions to non-recent school leavers in relation to qualifications (he did not complete high school - so may need to do some preceding courses). I see that some universities offer a fast tracked two year degree vs. three years (full time) as standard; but the two years seem to have stricter entry requirements.

A bit lost where to start and would appreciate any advice/input on anyone familiar with nursing degrees and the various institutions.
