So today, I havent' been able to get readings of my temp sensor to show up on myspool.com Their website mentions they are having issues submitting tickets to support but no mention affecting sensor readings. The website is hosted by AWS which has some issues according to Downdetector. Just wondering if I am the only one having sensor issues. Thanks.

Why does Dell set up their laptops to Intel's Rapid Storage Technology by default? These are on laptops that have a single NVME drive and there is no speed or reliability benefit. From my research and testing, it only seems to create an additional point of failure by requiring an additional driver. Why not just use the AHCI setting in BIOS and load Windows without needing the RST driver?

I'm curious why you or your org made the decision to ban Notepad++. The developer was transparent about the security issue and made all reasonable precautions to mitigate it and prevent it from happening again.

All software is inherently unsafe since you can't guarantee that it doesn't have any unpatched exploits. Personally, that the developer communicated this issue and took steps to address and prevent actually encourages me to keep using it.

If an employee at your org got caught by a phishing attack but communicated it to their IT and took all reasonable steps to mitigate it on their own would you still fire them? If not, please explain the difference to me.

Hi everyone. I have a Google Pixel 9 PRO XL and am still on the October Google Play system update. Curious if there was a Nov update that I am missing somehow. WIll there be a Dec one? I'm in the US if it helps.

Had an issue where a BIOS update on a refurbished desktop failed because it said bitlocker was busy encrypting the drive despite that it actually wasn't. The current BIOS was about 3 years old. I found on a forum that someone with a similar issue updated to an intermittent BIOS, then was able to update to the current one. This worked for me too so I thought I would list it here. In my case, I just picked a BIOS that was released in the middle of the gap between the desktop's current BIOs and the latest one. Hope this helps.

If you open an HTML email in Outlook Classic Desktop and it loads slowly, It might be because of the HTML rendering engine that Outlook uses. This is on the M365 version. Spent a few days working on this at my job. If an HTML email contains a table and one of those table fields has 10,000 characters in it then that email will be slow to load. Saving the email locally then opening it has the same slowness so it isn't a network or server issue. If you use the "</td><td>" tags to separate the the same data where each field has about 5,000 characters then it loads fine. We had an automated alert email with this issue. No modern browser has this issue so I am wondering what rendering engine that

Is there a good way to find a searchable part number? Say I need to replace a screen or touchpad in a dell laptop. If I put in the service tag on the Dell support site and look under "Review product specifications" there are codes there for parts but they never match anything on the part I have in front of me. Googling those codes in product specifications doesn't find any part online. Is there something simple I am missing to get searchable part numbers with just the service tag or express code?

We recently got a Zebra ZP230d thermal printer for UPS labels. The company wants multiple users to access the printer and connection options are USB only. I couldn't find a compatible print server online. Has anyone found a print server that works with this printer? Windows printer sharing is not an option for security reasons.
