Since I only do digital I find it difficult to setup still life on my PC desk and I don't have the time/money to go to live drawing sessions. Been sticking with photo studies and master studies of other digital art to improve. But recently I've taken on an interest in some old masters' traditional art and I wonder if doing studies of their oil paintings is a good way to improve digitally. Since the medium is different I find it difficult to mimic their brushwork(digital brushes are very monotonous compared to real ones).
Would love to hear some advice from more experienced folks on how to study efficiently.
