I have a 2.5yr old who uses the toilet amazingly at home. She will hop on up and go pee or poop no problem, we’ll have to help her get her pants down most of the time but she does the rest & we wipe. Compared to my son, who is 4, she has caught on way quicker and does great. She even does good in public and will let us know when she ask to go, or if we ask she will say yes, and not even really have to go all that much. The only trouble lately is when we have her in her car seat, she will go in there because I think she feels the safety of the pressure on her butt. But she hasn’t done that in a couple weeks because we remind her to not go in her car seat.

Anyway… so she’s at an in home dayc

I got a verbal offer on Friday and said I should get the offer letter Monday. They have been good at keeping in contact and HR Monday (yesterday) said the offer comes from Workday and goes through approvals so I should see something in my inbox today or tomorrow.

My dilemma is that I have vacation planned for the week of the 15th so I need my last day to be the 12th. Ideally I would need to let them know today the 2nd so it’s a 2 weeks notice.. but I want to make sure I sign an offer letter before officially resigning.

I’m afraid the offer letter might take some extra time to come through… would you go ahead and resign? They are pretty communicative so I don’t think they would take away

Home remodeling..

Question/Poll

We are getting our bathroom remodeled because it’s not in good shape so we have to. Our tub and wall tile is high in lead - had it professionally tested a few years ago. So I found a specialized contractor to do it who specializes in mold, asbestos and lead removal. Then I’m hiring an independent lead tester to test again after the demo is complete. Yet, I’m still anxious about it because our kids rooms are right across the hall (2 and 4yo). Has anyone gone through big remodels with little kids? We’ve done small things here and there but not this big.

We need to redo our bathroom and it has been confirmed we have lead based wall tiles and tub so we’re hiring a specialized abatement company to do the demolition.

We are not planning on changing the layout of the bathroom and are likely going to go with an acrylic shower/bathtub combo for ease of cleaning. We have tile now and it is cracking at the grout and creating mold issues so want to avoid that at all costs.

After demo, what is the order of putting it back together and who would we need to hire? My husband plans to do flooring, basic plumbing (if it’s complicated we’ll need a plumber), trim work. With taking out the tile they’ll be removing the sheet rock. We do not plan to do any

I’m naturally a more anxious person, but lately I’ve been more anxious and on edge than usual. Scary thoughts pop into my head and I can’t shake them. I thought it was odd because usually the first half of my cycle I’m more chill and my anxiety is very manageable.

Well, two days ago I had my annual physical and it turns out I have a vaginal yeast infection. I started treatment yesterday but I’m wondering if the heightened anxiety out of no where was the infection and not just a random thing.

Has anyone experienced this?

MIL trying to pawn off old mattress for toddler

RANT (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Ambivalent About Advice

So this has been ongoing for over 1.5 years and I just need to vent because… what even is this.

When my son wasn’t even 2 yet, my MIL told us she had a “fairly new” full mattress for him. At the time we turned it down because: 1. We weren’t ready to move him out of the crib. 2. His crib converts to a toddler bed so we could use that for a while.

She brings it up again later and my DH basically says if she wants to store it, fine, but we won’t need it for at least a year. This mattress has been sitting in the basement of a house they don’t even live in, so it literally made no difference to us.

Fast forward to about 6 months ago, she starts asking again when she can bring it over. We sai

We have the Daniel Tiger Potty Time card which my son loves and actually helps with his potty training! Are there any other cards or podcasts that talk about the potty? Or if there are any other cards talking about brushing teeth, doing things independently, chores, etc. that would be good too! He loves his yoto and these stories have helped him learn so much

Last Saturday, my husband and I decided not to go to a family Christmas party because one of my SILs had confirmed Flu A. She wasn’t attending, but her husband and their three kids still were. We have two young kids and didn’t feel comfortable risking it, especially during peak flu season.

For added context, this isn’t paranoia or a one-off fear. Last year, this same family gave us norovirus. Our daughter was only 9 months old at the time and stopped eating, which led to dehydration. We ended up in the ER twice. After that, she developed an ear infection. It completely ruined our limited time off and was absolutely terrifying as parents. So when we hear “confirmed Flu A,” we take it serious

For all my son’s life he’s always had looser stool. He has always grew healthy and never bugged by it. Our pediatrician has never been phased by it and said it could be a fructose intolerance which they usually grow out of by 3, but he’s older than 3 now. His stool consistency in the toilet ranges from snake which is normal to porridge. When looking at the Bristol stool scale it’s probably a type 6 but if you look at the pediatric stool scale it’s a type 4, which they claim is normal. The pediatric stool scale I’m referencing is on healthychildren.org. Now that he’s using the toilet and at a new daycare, she thinks he has something extremely wrong like parasites or something. He had a bug la

I’m at the cabin with my parents and cut up a tomato on a cutting board for my 1yr old as a snack because I thought it was only used for vegetables. I guess my dad used it to pepper the steaks and lamb chops. Ugh. She ate a decent amount it. I feel so stupid. Hope nothing comes of it.

Prescription Costs

Product Question

I went through GoodRx to get a tretinoin .025% cream 45gm and Azelaic Acid 15% gel 50gm prescription. I had them send it to my Walgreens pharmacy. With insurance the prices are $42 for the Tret and $109 for the AA.

I like getting it through a pharmacy near me vs. using an online supplier. I just feel like it’s more trust worthy. But are these prices to be expected? I’m mostly concerned about the AA. Is there a way I can get the price down?

My son is 3 and the sweeeetest boy. He follows directions really well and shares really well with the other kids at daycare. Me or his dad will be helping him put on his helmet or another random task and he will say “don’t punch me” and we always reassure him that we would never do that.

I received this text from daycare today and I’m beyond worried that he’s going to develop some type of trauma from all this hitting and bullying.

“Hey there. I wanted to let you all know that we had to send home two kids today for being mean to B (my son). Twice they came at him with hurtful hands, punching. It was absolutely and totally unacceptable. Kids are kids and kids hit and make mistakes and lear
