I'm glad that Jagex is walking back a bit on their stance about HD plugins/clients but I think that this is just the beginning for Jagex's new client related controversies.
I am almost certain that the new C++ client is going to be the only allowed client sometime in the future. My main question is when? Granted, this is speculation as none of this has been officially communicated to the players. For the record, I'm all for them trying to shy away from 3rd party clients and they are well aware they can't do that currently without an official alternative that doesn't suck.
I think that Jagex is doomed to repeat this mistake by delaying the announcement until it's right around the corner. A
