BIG SPOILERS AHEAD!

LOOK AWAY IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS!

- This is easily my favourite book in the series

- I loved how mature Sarah J. Maas’s writing was in this book

- I really loved how she portrayed Nesta. So many books gloss over healing, but here, she really dug deep and made Nesta mess up quite a lot throughout the book.

- I loved the relationship between Nesta and Cassian and how it was so different from most love stories.

- The training arc was so inspiring and made me want to better myself.

- Gwyn and Emerie were both brilliant and I loved how Nesta made friends with them.

- I loved how the writing was more subtle than the other books.

- I’ve never wanted to c

For context, I am planning on doing a Brontë readathon very soon (within the next week or so, hence why it’s only for five days), and I’m going to read Agnes Grey (a re-read, but since I only read it once in 2023, I’m counting it as a first read), Wuthering Heights, and Jane Eyre. I’m going to read a palate cleanser book in between these, so that they don’t blur into one. I’m also going to read Wide Sargasso Sea after Jane Eyre. The issue is, I don’t know which book to start with as I want to read them all first haha. I figured I’d put it in a poll and let this subreddit vote in a poll. 🤓

It’s honestly one of my favourite biopics ever. I loved how much care and attention to detail Sally Wrainwright put into the script, and even though it wasn’t always historically accurate, even those parts felt like they fitted into the story she was telling. I also really loved the actors’ performances, especially the actor playing Branwell, who almost stole the film for me. I also loved how realistic the set designs looked and even small things such as Patrick Brontë having an Irish accent and the Brontë siblings having Yorkshire accents. It’s easily a film I could rewatch again and again.

I’m rewatching Stranger Things Season One, and I think that sometimes they hit lightening in a bottle. I like the other seasons, but I love how the mystery of the Upside Down is kept to the background for the majority of Season One and it focuses on the characters.
