I just received my PCB and soldered the switches on. When I plug in the board to my Mac, a green LED on the back of the board lights up and a persistent chirp can be heard from the speaker. When I type, nothing happens.

I've tried all the flashing methods, but it appears the Mac (and my Windows computer) never actually see the USB device. When I click the reset button to enter bootloader mode, the LED and speaker turn off, but there is no change in the availability of a USB connection.

I've tried dfu-programmer, avrdude, a few QMK-flashing solutions. I can't find the device in "ls /dev/tty*" on Mac or in Device Manager on Windows.

It would be cool if this subreddit had the game's devs tagged with flair like they are in r/Vive and such.

I have my monitor plugged into the HDMI port (after I figured out the main monitor had to be on the same card as the Vive) and the Vive plugged into the DisplayPort, but SteamVR can't find the device now.

Windows sees it, but when I look at the SteamVR logs, I see this:

lighthouse: Could not find monitor of expected size 2160 x 1200

And sure enough, it looks like the Vive display is for some reason locked in at 640x480 and cannot be changed no matter how many settings I fiddle with on Windows or Nvidia Control panel.

Anyone else run into this?

I am trying to see if I can fix an M-Audio Oxygen 61 MIDI keyboard. It's currently having an issue where it is apparently drawing too much power when plugged in via USB. I opened it up and found that the USB connector came loose at some point and seems to have knocked out 3 of these that were situated right behind it.

What are these and is three of them missing likely to be my problem?

Has anyone here taken Concepts of Mathematics (21-127) over the summer? What are the differences in how it is run and difficulty level?

I am thinking about taking it then because I feel like it would be better to take it when it is the only class I am concentrating on, but I could be wrong.

From what I gather, the general idea here is to make a mesh net, essentially a completely new network to replace the internet. In terms of fighting SOPA, the only thing it enables as far as I can gather is DNS blocking, right? So why not just make a distributed DNS so that we do not have to depend on the top-level providers?

I could be completely off-base here, if I am, please tell me why =)

EDIT: Something I would like to add, this idea would be to have this as a sort of backup if a website is blocked. So for something that really needs to be "secure" such as banking (which should never fall under SOPA crosshairs really), the current DNS infrastructure could be used as normal.
