As someone who wants to get into LitRPG (it should be right up my alley) but bounces off frequently because the Systems get in the way of immersion, what are some examples of novels that successfully make the RPG elements a part of the story and not just a layer on top of it?

I've enjoyed the way The Wandering Inn and Worth The Candle handled it, for example.

Hello, I remember loving Soul Relic, the first book in Samuel Hinton's Manifestation series. It was the characters, the worldbuilding, the magic system, everything hit just right. Then book 2 dropped and I couldn't get into it, the change of pacing was too stark, so I figured I'd wait until more books came out.

This day has now come. How do books 2-5 measure up to the first one overall? I'm still not sure I'll dive back in, but the first one was good enough that I feel the itch.

Is there data available on what percentage of fictions end up abandoned or lost in hiatus vs being completed?

Heya, just wondering if anyone has solid recommendations for Sci-Fantasy on Royal Road. I consistently bounce off of LitRPG, GameLit, and System stuff but honestly if you think you have the novel to melt my icy heart, I'll give all recommendations an honest chance.

Progression is always a plus, and as far as tone goes I'll take anything from meme stories, to comedies and serious stuff. Grimdark for the sake of edginess doesn't usually do it for me.

Come to think of it, how much cultivation sci-fantasy even is there?

I need help identifying which LLMs would work best for the following tasks:

- Casual conversation about creative writing.

- Brainstorming CW.

- Critical feedback about CW.

I do not want the model to do any writing for me, so its ability to do so is not relevant. My computer is definitely not high end (currently running a 2060 and mourning the days when that was top notch) so I'd probably lie if I said anything without "7B" in the name is a viable option, even though a larger context window than average would be greatly appreciated for longer chats.

If there isn't anything that fits my criteria and would run on my computer, I guess let me down gently, although I don't mind waiting a m

that Helly R. was not herself was her false story about her experience during the OTC, specifically saying she saw the inside of "a really boring apartment".

In her story she was wearing A CASUAL SHIRT, watching OUTIE TELEVISION, in the FIRST APARTMENT SHE'S EVER SEEN, she WENT OUTSIDE. No innie would ever have found these things boring, and I think that got Detective Irving on the case more than the night gardener thing.
