So I think I may be really going into labor this time! We had our 39 week appointment today, and I had progressed from 1cm to 2-3cm and 50% effaced. My OB stripped my membranes (or gave me a "vigerous exam" is how she put it) to see if she could get any progress, and didn't think it would do much. That was at noon, and as of 4 pm I was getting pretty consistent, slightly painful contractions every 9-14 minutes, but was still able to work and such through them without any difficulty.
Now, I am sitting at contractions every 3-5 minutes, lasting up to 2 minutes each, that are getting progressively more intense. I can bounce on my ball and get through them pretty well, but if I am up and about
So I am planning on calling my OB's office later this morning, but wanted to get some opinions before I do. I am 36+3, and I think I may possibly be in early labor, but not going to lie, it seems like its not hard enough. So I didn't sleep the night before last (Thursday). I was up basically wide away at 2 am which isn't totally atypicaly and when I finally got out of bed at 6 for work, I noticed I was having rhythmic contractions 9 minutes apart. They were paired with crazy nausea, but basically very minimal to no "period cramp pain". I went to work and worked a full 8 hour day on my feet with them getting down to about 4-5 minutes lasting about 50-60 seconds apiece, with a little more noti
Just had to share... DH knows that I have had a few stressful days at work (gone at 7am, not home until 7pm) so I come home tonight to dinner on the table, my vitamin pulled out and the house picked up! I am the luckiest woman in the world! This "bean" and I are very luck to have him around.
As for the pregnancy achievement, it is now official at 22 weeks my bellybutton is non-existent . Maybe soon it will be an outtie, but for now it is just a flat piece of skin that baby likes to kick...
So here is a little background. I am just finishing up my 12th week, and am just getting into some of the major cravings and aversions (like making my husband drive us around to find crunchy curly fries...normal fries wouldn't cut it). I have been a vegetarian, and a healthy vegetarian, for about 2 years. I never really enjoyed meat, or craved it before becoming vegetarian, I just ate it out of necessity. Today was a first for me...I WANTED chicken...no I NEEDED chicken (and crispy waffle fries this time). I can't tell you the last time I have wanted to eat meat, so this was one of the weirdest things for me. Since I figure my body is telling me what I need(ish) I caved and got chicken, and
