I was going to make this a joke post on r/okbuddyottomanempire but then I realized this may actually have been intentional lol. People have pointed out the sad irony of Naren in EMG being the only sensible one who tries to get the others to go back to Standard rather than venture further beyond the cutout in the wall. It wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that Kane/Will Soodik intentionally named him that because it's the whole point of his character, to warn.
His first scene at the opening of the film serves to warn the audience of the danger of the backrooms. When Clark finds his ID badge and his bag it's also a warning to him that others have been here and potentially gotten lost or harmed
I just decisively defeated this player's team, I had 3 mons left with mostly full health while they were down to 1% on their last mon. Figured they'd probably forfeit.
Instead I had to wait like 3 minutes as they decided to use the full time limit to pick protect, then use the full time limit on the following turn ending in the "player has been idle too long" message.
I don't know if the player immediately went AFK after hitting 1% and the game happened to pick protect for them, or if they purposely sat there and waited to pick protect just to grief me.
I've seen people complain of players doing stuff like this but I truly cannot wrap my head around the psychology if it's actually inte
So, I'm overall pleased with and excited about the DCU so far. Superman was the best live action adaptation of the character ever in my opinion and did a fantastic job with its side characters as well. Lanterns is looking great so far. Supergirl seems to have been a bit of a dud (I didn't watch it) but they can't all be perfect, and the casting seems good there at least.
But one thing that's been irking me since we got the early announcements of the projects in this Universe, which I haven't really seen much discussion about: the misalignment of the timelines of major characters' superhero careers.
You're telling me that Batman has already been through 3-4 Robins before the Justice League

And then asked him to direct a feature film based on the concept? Would he be confused? Or would it be good? Can someone with access to a dog please attempt this and report back
Master thread to compile all the evidence that Naren Warne was a spy sent by the CCP to infiltrate the Backrooms and turn them communist
Exhibit A: His Name
"Naren Warne" does that name sound American to you? It's probably Chinese. It only has the same 5 letters repeated in different orders, which is how Mandarin names work as well.
Exhibit B: He's a Pussy
In Everything Must Go, Naren is shown to be the only member of his party to want to bitch out and go back to standard instead of being a brave independent pioneer and pushing onward to explore and colonize the backrooms further. Unamerican behavior. Chinese behavior. See also what a scared little wuss he is shown to be in the opening s
