I have a long list of last names in sheet 2 column C, and I'm trying to make a formula which counts the number of times each name appears in column B of sheet 1, and copy that formula down column D in sheet 2. My initial thought was to use INDIRECT. So in D2, I put:
=COUNTIF(Sheet1!B:B,(INDIRECT("C2")))
But INDIRECT specifically removes the reference information when I copy the formula down the row. In other words, when I copy to D3, I get:
=COUNTIF(Sheet1!B:B,(INDIRECT("C2")))
instead of
=COUNTIF(Sheet1!B:B,(INDIRECT("C3")))
Any suggestions?
I've been having a problem where plugging in any USB peripherals prevents booting or getting into the BIOS. So I tried the boot into windows recovery then boot directly into UEFI settings hack. No dice. It just freezes at the splash screen before the bios.
I can boot into windows fine as long as I unplug everything, but I can't get into the bios at all, so I can't check BIOS settings or flash an update. I feel like my only option left is a CMOS removal? If that doesn't work, what then? Is my mobo just soft-bricked? It's only 5 years old.
