Google has killed GP for me. I hate it, more and more. I have the 100gb package and used to regularly sync the .dng's to my NAS so I could edit them on my PC along with my DSLR-shot photos, then delete the .dng's and keep the .jpgs to have basic access to all my photos.
Most of that functionality is gone. I'm getting more and more annoyed. Just buying more space won't help me, since it's only one aspect of the issue.
I'm

• unable to filter for .dng's to handily mass delete them without deleting the attached .jpg
• changes to GPs API killed QNAP's autosync app, so I don't have a low-effort way to sync my GP archive to my NAS anymore
• GP used to create cool animations with rapidly taken p

Is there a possibility to:

1. make the tablet automatically switch on when it is charging?
2. make the tablet automatically switch off when it is not charging anymore?

The device is running on 5.1.1 and I assume I need to root it to achieve any of the above.

Hey, I want to use my old Nexus10 as a digital photoframe. I found the app "lucid daydream", which seems to be working perfectly.
It would be perfect if the device would power up when charging, and shut down as soon as electricity is gone. Is that possible?

I bought the mentioned external HDD a couple of years ago, connected it to my pc, and backed up some files. A couple of days later, it broke- I connected it to a specific usb port on my pc, and never got it to run again- not on other ports/cables/pcs.
I got a new drive on warranty. The kicker: exactly the same happened. I figured it had to be the usb port.
That being said, I now have two sort of new but broken drives. On connection, they

• turn on
• start spinning audibly
• never show up in windows explorer/hard drive management, nor does it show a connected device

Is there a feasible, cheap and easy way to get these drives to run?

Hey, I have several opinels, most of them in the "Carbone" version.
I keep them sharp myself and usually grind the carbon steel variants to 25° cutting/12.5 grinding angle, and the Inox variants to 35°/17.5°.

All of them are relatively old. I recently gifted an opinel to a friend, and he asked me what grinding angle to use, and what they are delivered with. He's knew at grinding knifes.

Does anyone know what cutting angle they are delivered with?
What do you use?

Hallo, ich bin an sich seit etwas mehr als einem Jahr glücklicher Besitzer einer 1zpresso jx-pro.
Ich habe das Ding nie komplett zerlegt, und lediglich durch das Mahlen von Haferflocken auf einem sehr feinen Mahlgrad gereinigt.
Jetzt hat ein verpeilter Mitbewohner Milch in die Mühle statt in seine Kaffeetasse geschüttet. Daraufhin ist das gute Stück auch direkt etwas schwergängiger geworden.
Entsprechend wollte ich die Mühle mal der Anleitung folgend zerlegen und reinigen- kann aber leider die "Burr unit"/holprig übersetzt "Schärferingeinheit" nicht abschrauben.
Mehr Gewalt kann ich trotz Klettereiunterarmen nicht aufbringen, ohne eine Zan

I am eyeballing getting a NAS right now. Since Synology NAS are very common here in Germany and abundant on the second hand market, I am favoring them right now- specifically, the DS416play, DS420+, or DS920+.

• My main motivation is a secure data storage in a RAID- the biggest bulk of data is years of photography in large formats which I would like to be able to edit in lightroom
• storing and playing media
• using the NAS as cloud storage
• hosting (relatively small) python-built flask webapps
• is it possible to give several users access and let them have "private" directories? For instance, could me/my wife/my daughter save data to the NAS with the others not having access?

• Ich bin relativ offen, was das Budget angeht. Ich kaufe sehr gerne gebraucht und dafür etwas höherklassig.
• Ich habe eine Mühle (1zpresso JX pro), entsprechend brauche ich nicht unbedingt ein Mahlwerk.
• Ich habe einen guten Milchaufschäumer.
• Ich trinke am liebsten Cappuccinos mit relativ viel Milch. Manch Siebträgermaschine könnte mir zu wenig Platz für eine hohe Tasse/hohes Glas unter dem Sieb bieten.
• Einfache Reinigung/Edelstahl statt Plastik finde ich super, Extrapunkte für ein nicht zu großes Gerät.
• Es wäre super, wenn es nicht ein riesen Aufriss wird, Kaffee für mehrer

Hallo werte Pilzfreunde und Hobbymykologen, ich habe eine Pilzzucht, Austernseitlinge, von hier. Sie hat mir bereits eine schöne erste Ernte beschert. Danach habe ich den Sack entsprechend der Anleitung eine Weile in Wasser getaucht.
Das Fruchtkörperwachstum hat erst mal länger auf sich warten lassen, aber jetzt zeigt sich wieder etwas.
Parallel habe ich gebrauchtes Kaffeepulver gesammelt und an der Luft getrocknet, da ich nach der zweiten Ernte gerne weitere Zuchten starten würde. Ich habe Zugang zu Unmengen an gebrauchtem Kaffeepulver.

Hey, I am on vacation with a large group of friends. I am the only paraglider. We decided to visit the Alps south of the main divide.
My friends would prefer a holiday flat with a sauna, which is hard to find in the Italian region (i.e. Bassano/Meduno) or Slovenia for ~10 people, but fairly common in Austria.

I would be happy about input on beginner friendly and fairly reliable XC spots in southern Austria, if possible with some links to info on flying sites/local clubs. Thanks!

In the last years, I used a Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 with my Philips Fidelio X2HR for gaming, listening to music, and meetings when I'm working from home (with a modmic).

Now a static discharge from a pullover killed the Xonar. It puts out a lot of hissing/noise.

So I need to replace it- my Realtek onboard card sounds shitty compared to the ASUS, and the microphone jack puts out hissing, too.

I figured I could use a DAC. Since I need a 3.5mm microphone jack, I am eyeing gaming DACs (the one I singled out so far got this post deleted for some reason).
However, my keyboard has a microphone jack too, so there are other options.
Would be happy for some recommendations.
