The IPO valuation was like USD $1.8 trillion, and shares were priced at USD $135. SpaceX had about $18.7 billion in 2025 revenue. So… investors are being asked to pay roughly 94x sales? Why…. How…

I am 39 and my wife is 38. We own a house and a rental apartment, with mortgages totaling around $400k. We live a decent life. We own one car, but my wife insists on getting one for herself.
I start work at 8:30 and she starts at 9:30. I usually finish around 4:30, and she finishes around 3:30, sometimes earlier. We work in close proximity (about 4 km from home) and our workplaces are only about 1 km apart.
In the past, she would leave a bit earlier and come back with me. Our son’s daycare is very close to our home, within walking distance, so that is not an issue at all.

Ngl, I was naive and thought living in a motel was a viable option for low income/poor people. Probably because I watched the move "The Florida Project" and thought, hey it's not ideal but it's better than being completely homeless. Capitalists have really paywalled ALL our options.

I live in Winnipeg and I'm fking sick of trying to buy a home here. Every time I save up enough for a down payment, the market jumps again and I'm told I’m “no longer competitive.” Everytime I get close, the goalposts move and I'm over it.
And don't even get me started on real estate agents. I swear everyone and their dog got licensed during the boom just to cash in, because the level of incompetence out here is actually ludicrous. I have secondhand embarassment for them.
They don’t care about you or strategize for you. And they absolutely don’t protect you. They just tell you to bid $30K-80K over ask and hope the commission clears.
