I realize animation quirks happen ever once in awhile normally but I tend to see it a lot more often it seems when I am playing a game at Fenway Park and the ball gets hit off the green monster.

My guess is that the animation is mainly programmed to handle regular sized walls so when it is faced with the green monster the animation gets messed up more frequently.

I'm sure many saw the video as it was one of the crazier videos he ever posted where the individual who currently lives in the house (or at least lived in the house at the time he filmed the video) came out and created a big scene. I have often though gone back and forth on rather the video was genuine or if it was staged for the camera with the current owner of the home being in on it.

How do you guys view that video. Do you see the video as genuine or do you think it was set up?

Is that it seems like in '27 the teams that are supposed to win (meaning the teams that had the better records during the regular season) have more success in the postseason then the top teams did for that specific season in '25. Now this isn't in anyway a long range observation but just from the experiences I have had with the two versions of the game I have played with is that '27 isn't as much of a crapshoot during the playoffs as '25 was where there would often be teams with about.500 records making the world series. In '27 there are still occasional upsets but not nearly as many as there was in OOTP '25.

Just curious as it would explain why John might disappear as soon as it looks like Sneider's minutes scooping career might be on the rocks.

I know John often says that he has 'heard' from a 'source' (which he leaves unnamed) about things that are potentially happening within the industry. Is Jeff Sneider often the person who is feeding him info.

I do know a lot of these YouTubers often exaggerate how many sources they have and often times their sources are just their friends.

The base runners started advancing after a hit with the defenders just standing there not really doing anything. So I looked at what the sim engine said and it didn't describe what happened exactly. After it described the hit it just said........ trouble brewing........I assume that when the sim engine says that something happened in the field of play that the graphics aren't programmed to show such as a miscommunication between the defenders that allows the base runners to advance.

I'm about to start a new game but I primarily like to play in Europe so would getting the All Under Heaven expansion really change anything with the European gameplay? Or is the AUH expansion pretty much 100% related to China and Japan and that area of the map and has little to no effect on Europe starts aside from the fact that it provides a bigger map with more land to conquer if you make it that far (which isn't a huge deal because there is plenty of land to conquer already).

It's officially time. I have to start over again and pick a feudel government from the very beginning. I was just finding it to challenging to try to switch from tribal to feudel. I originally liked the tribal start because it allowed me to conquer a lot of land early in the game which was a lot of fun. But now opposing armies were beginning to become difficult to beat and the things I needed to achieve to turn feudel myself would take along time to do and if I was beginning to have trouble winning battles it may never be achieved.

So long all the hundreds of characters from my save. Maybe I will come back to you someday.

On my league evolution it says that the Cleveland franchise was renamed to the Guardians. Well they already were the Guardians. And they would have still been called the Guardians my very first year of the save.

I had two new expansion teams when I started a new season and their names are........the Baycats and the River Cats. Nothing wrong with those names on their own (infact the River Cats seem to be the name of some real life minor league team so that is probably where the computer got that name from. But couldn't the AI of created names that were a little different from each other? Guess not.

I'll have to check one of the River Cats games out and see if the computer pulled both the uniform and logo from the minor league team.

Are the White Sox truly a lot better then the Reds or has the idea that it was a huge upset that the Reds won been highly exaggerated over the years?

Just curious because I was surprised to find out when looking at the standings for that particular season that the Reds actually had the better record. Was the AL just considered to be a lot better then the NL by the newspapers in those days?

I just got OOTP 27. I skipped ''26 so the last game I played was '25. The first season I did it seemed there was less scoring and overall base hits then there was in OOTP '25. A lot of 1-0 games during the season whereas in '25 you seldom had games where the scoring was that low.

At the end of the season though I checked out the league history for the results of the past couple seasons of the real MLB and scoring and hitting has indeed dropped over the past couple years and the results I got for my first season I did were pretty much on par with the 2025 season.

I think though for season 2 though I think I might change the stats and AI section to resemble the 2023 season which OOTP '25 ga

Had to look up what flagellated meant as it's a word seldomly ever used in real life and it basically means they whip themselves. Wonder if that's just a way for the game to say a character committed suicide without having to actually say the word suicide.

Doesn't bother me that he died as it will just pass down to my grandson who will likely be around a lot longer but I just find it funny that I often do have to look up the meaning of the words the game gave for why a character died.

I recently started the Elective Succession option and oddly the person who is currently winning it is a 12 year old. What's funny is that I also have a son who is in his 50's. The thing is is that he was born to my previous wife who is now dead. I have other sons who are older then the 12 year old but they were all born from a concubine. The 12 year old is the oldest son of my current wife.

So is my current wife likely a big reason why they seem to be favoring the 12 year old in the Elective Succession over my son who is in his 50's but was born to my wife who is now dead.

Just curious if the game does stuff like that?

There have been many instances where events will happen to a certain character and I go into their memory section to see if I can get further details and the memory section says absolutely nothing about it. Little disappointing because as far as I know there is no place to go to get the history of past events for characters other than that characters memories. Usually the memory section just logs family events such as when a child is born or dies or when a close relative dies. Sometimes they will log other things but usually if you are looking for a specific thing you won't find it.

Now I am sure this is likely for performance reasons as if they made the life history sections of characters
