Playing golf alone

Beginner Questions

I’m in a sticky situation. I have been dedicated to improving and playing as much golf as possible to do so, but it’s difficult matching up schedules with friends. I feel I need to play more golf alone to improve, but I find that alone I get more in my head and take the game too seriously when I don’t have something to take my mind off the game in between shots (friends). How do I get over this?

P.S I’m a 20 hcp, playing for over two years

Context:

So I’m currently a 25(ish) handicap and I’ve been playing casually for 2 years, I’ve only ever broke 100 on winter tees or temp greens so I don’t count that I’ve broke 100. I am at a point where I can hit my driver and irons very consistently (I lose maybe 1/2 balls a round) and based on my swing a lot of people don’t believe I’ve never broken 100. Although my approach game and chipping is below average and my putting is okay (I make a three putt every other hole)

I’m trying to get down to a 15 handicap by next September so that I can get on my university team, i currently average playing once a week, range once a week and a lesson a month. What do I have to do/focus on to get dow

I’ve had multiple parcels lost in the evri warehouse. The advice I’ve received is to refund buyer and contact evri for compensation. Both the phone number and chatbot provided on their website are dead ends, essentially it tells you tracking information and that’s it. Is there a number I can call specifically for senders or an email for compensation. Evri has literally lost me £100s that I’ve paid out of my own pocket.

Thanks for any help :)

Hi, I’m operating as a sole trader running a very niche small business (golf balls) through eBay at the moment, I have an excel spreadsheet detailing how much each product returns and the profit from each. I’m wondering how you all keep track of profit. The two main reasons are that I want to be able to be net loss before the end of the tax year, so that I don’t have to pay tax until I’ve scaled up a bit, and I want to see how lucrative this business is. I have a wide range of products, some returning over 200% of costs and some at a small loss (necessary to move bulk golf balls)

I suppose I’m hoping that you don’t have to keep track of every product sold and there is a streamlined process

How do you keep track of profit?

Fees, Payments & Financial

In the interest of monitoring profitability and aiming towards break even, I’m wondering how you keep track of profit, is it as meticulous as calculating it from each order?

So far I’ve got an excel spreadsheet detailing how much profit each product returns, would it be wise to work keep a tab of every products profit or is it as simple as expenditure - net return?
