There has been this claim going around that that Seanchan's wave breaks lore and the Seanchan coming to Toman's Head would not do something like that. This post is not saying anything about the merits of the wave it's merely to disprove the idea that the Seanchan are some benevolent force.
Let's start with this from chapter 41 of The Great Hunt
And worst of all, the examples the Seanchan had made before leaving still chilled the people to their marrow. They had buried their dead, but they feared to clean away the large charred patch in the village square. None of them would say what had happened there, but Hurin had vomited as soon as they entered the village, and he would not go ne
I'm seeing a lot of people complaining the show has made Lews Therin arrogant. The motivation for Lews in the scene is not primarily arrogance. He was motivated by his desire to see his child grow up in a better world. That is why went over to the crib and said as much to his child. Lews arrogance is not what he thought was driving him. However that does not mean his actions can stem from a place of pride.
On Latra Pose Decume. She claims Lews is acting arrogantly to go through with his plan because of the risks involved. This is her view and the reason she is withholding her support, and the support of the other female channelers. She views his actions in this moment as arrogance.
There are a lot of people claiming Henney's Lan is not book accurate. Usually they use things like this line from New Spring to support their view that Lan is not close to the book character.
“In war, you say a prayer for your dead and ride on, because there is always another fight over the next horizon."
These people of course are claiming that Lan is to expressive in the show. This quote they are using for support shows nothing about Lan's expressiveness though. In the books Lan has expressions these expressions give us insight into Lan's head space. Take this interaction in The Great Hunt
"I never said - " He took a deep breath. "I told you I had nothing to offer for bridep
This show is doing a fantastic job at emulating Robert Jordan's ability to foreshadow and set up plots that may not get pay off for a long time down the line, and giving little Easter Eggs for book fans.
When meeting the White Cloaks Bornhald sets up the division in the White Cloaks that will be important for Galad's arc.
When Mat finds the Dagger there are hints of Mordeth leading him there.
When Liandrin gentles the man that can channel we see him talking to another person which will be a big deal when Rand starts going mad.
Thom with the Aiel setting up the Veil's and pointing out the Red Hair. Also the stone dog refernce.

cnn.com/2020/12/08/us/ohio-police-shooting-ca...So I have been playing around with Brettonnia since the tomb kings launch to test the new skills and techs. The game starts well and I got far along take Marienberg start confederating the states and I get a nonagression pact with the wood elves. The Wood elves attack Carsacone who I have a defensive alliance with so of course I enter the war. Suddenly I notice every other factions starts breaking their treaties with me. Apprently defending my ally tanked my trustworthiness rating so no factions want to enter deals with me. On top of that I can't get the last to agree to confederate because I'm not trustworthy.
Entering a war on the side of an ally should not count against you when i
[War Speech] Someone suggested that I post here and I rather liked the prompt, so I thought I'd try my hand. I hope it's enjoyable.
To say the first war the United Nations of Earth fought against another advanced species had gone poorly would be an understatement. The first contact had excited the peoples of earth, for it was proof that they were not in fact alone in the galaxy. 100 years of expansion and colonization with no sign of intelligent life had led many to speculate that was the case. The meeting of the Icorans as they were dubbed after the name of the star system they called home had led many to speculate that this was the sign of a
Pretty simple looking for fantasy books involving Pirates although any nautical fantasy would do.
