I've got myself a situation. I'm getting some serious wobble on the lathe, I've replaced drive belts, greased and replaced pulleys, tightened all bolts but I think the problem is the wall. My Axminister AWVSL1000 is attached to a wooden work bench. The bench has two front legs and the rear has no legs and is attached to the wall with a load of anchors. This has been working great for years but I think the repeated vibration from the lathe has weakened the wall! Not something I considered when setting it up, but it is a breeze block wall and was never engineered to have that kind of machine attached to it. It's been turning some large, >33cm diameter bowls which is quite a bit bigger than my
I suffer from chronic burning throat, made worse when talking. I've read that a warm steam inhaler could help with the recovery. Anyone tried this and seen success?
I've just completed my first week of the low acid/Koufman diet. I've been experiencing chronic throat pain for the past two years, right side of my throat just next to my Adams apple. I've elevated my sleeping position, take gaviscon before bed and peptac liquid after meals throughout the day. The problem is that my throat pain has got significantly worse after starting the diet. Every day has been a day of misery, very painful burning in my throat. I suppose that I'm just looking for reassurance that others have gone through something similar and seen progress. I know I need to preserve to see results but this is a really rough start.
I've found this lovely burr in an old oak log which has been cut for a few years. It's clearly punky, the question is, do I attempt to turn it or am I inevitably going to be struggling with the punk?
Hi, I currently have Starlink providing internet connection to 5 nodes on a mesh network. Starlink satelite > Starlink router > Asus router > Wireless mesh node, Asus Zen Wifi XD5 (x5) The connection to the two furthest away node's is sometimes unreliable as they are in seperate buildings. I would like to add an ethernet connected outdoor access point to bridge the gap to these nodes.
Could anyone recommend a specific external access point, or something similar? My problem is that the wireless signal is jumping up to three nodes which causes too many issues. The ethernet connection would run from, I presume, the Asus router then bridge one wireless section to the node in each out building.
Hi, I currently have a mesh wifi setup in this configuration: Starlink internet - Asus rt-ax82u router - 4 x Asus Zen XD5 nodes.Layout of system
In the attached image the nodes are the blue circles, router is green, starlink is red (right) and router is green. The setup only just works carrying the signal to the two buildings on the left of the image. The nodes have to be sitting right in the windows to receive a connection. My plan is to install a TP-Link EAP110-Outdoor 5dBi, or similar, where the red circle on the left is. I would hard wire this to the router to ensure a solid connection. Would this create one network with the TP-Link providing the same signal a
