So as the title implies, I am a hobbyist writer. I don't know a whole lot about mixology, though, which is why trying to come up with a couple of signature drinks for the nightclub in my writing has been a bit daunting. I'm hoping I can pick the brains of people who actually know what they're doing. I'm just going to get into it:

Hour of Stardust

  • Blue Raspberry soda (Was thinking Mt. Dew Voltage, but don't wanna risk brand names)
  • Vodka
  • ???
  • Edible glitter
  • Lumina Blue (fictional mixer, mild bitter flavor, makes the drink glow without a blacklight, safe and edible bioluminescence)
  • Served in a hurricane glass

It's supposed to have some amount of elegance to it. The bartender cou

LF program to move files to random folders

Looking for software :Windows: :Searching:

I'm looking for something fairly simple, but not necessarily something often used. Basically, I want to be able to select either an input folder or number of files and distribute them, either by moving or copying, into selected output folders at random, preferably with the option to make it even. So far, I haven't found anything that does exactly that. Plenty of software that can sort by specific criteria, but no mention of random sorting. I don't particularly want to try to randomly pick a split of possibly 1k files because that's not only a lot of time that could be saved with software but also to avoid possible subconscious bias. So, got anything that can help?

So I'm at a point where part of the plot has a couple of characters using American Sign Language to communicate silently. I know very little about ASL aside from, like, "love" and "thank you", but it's been an interesting experience looking up more about it. I've been looking up words that fit into the narrative contexts, but the grammar and word order still confuses me sometimes. I absolutely want to continue learning this stuff, but in the meantime I was hoping someone who does have the knowledge could help with some of the more immediate phrases I'm trying to get down for the narrative.

The basic idea is that one of the characters working for the villain isn't doing so by choice. She ha

Hey ya'll!

I'm no professional and, as the title says, just write because I enjoy it. Finally got back into writing a few months ago after years of writer's block and life stuff. If you want, you can check out the first thing I've published on Wattpad in a long time and, if you do enjoy it, feel free to give me a follow. Feedback is appreciated, too.

I mostly tend toward action-y stuff, so the fact that my first story in so long leans more towards romance has me a little anxious as to how I did. Either way, you probably won't find real deep themes with me, but if you like the storytell

Recently, I've found myself questioning a few ways of posting on Wattpad and I really don't know which would be better for getting what I write visible. Most of what's out there are books, whole novels, but I don't think I have it in me to plan and write out such a large project. I think I'm better with writing multiple smaller stories within a world and/or around a main character. Not even necessarily in canon chronological order.

The problem that's stumping me is that a short story could be in just about any other genre. If one of those stories is a romance, would it be more visible put under the "Romance" genre rather than the "Short Story" genre? It feels like not setting it to "Short

Recs for a squeamish reader?

Looking For: Recommendations

Hey ya'll!

I'm looking for some recommendations, as the tag implies. The problem with with finding new reads on my own is that I have trouble getting through a lot of stuff. I love action and adventures, whether fantasy or sci-fi, but so many get kinda bloody and I just have trouble reading through that kind of thing. On top of that, my tastes may be a little too simple sometimes. I enjoy a nice story where the villain does villain things, the hero comes to stop them, little is sacrificed to save the day. Childish? Maybe. I know it's not popular, and most stories end up having major character death or super dark backstories, I just... get tired of it, honestly. I need recs that are simple,

I know making relationship charts can help writers visualize the relationships of their characters better. I've looked at a couple pages of search, but all the ones I find only really show basic relationships, like parent/child or friends. I'm looking for something that does more than that, like letting you add more detailed notes on each particular relationship. For some reason, it's not helping me to just list them in my normal notes, I just need some way to visualize the relationships and pick one to bring up and edit its details. Anything like that out there?

I seem to be having a very strange issue with the import head feature on RaceMenu's sculpt tab. I'm using Lykaios Reborn, KS Hairdos SMP, and WesternVisayas's KS Hairs SMP Khajiit patch (not the all-race, because this older one actually works for Lykaios). I exported the head with my chosen hair, used Outfit Studio to sculpt it (because it's just easier to work with hair there than in-game) and import it. After some trial and error, it looked fine. That is, until I loaded a save that used this imported head. Then the hair was entirely out of position, sometimes floating way above the head and sometimes down inside the neck. I've na

Image file renaming & sorting software?

Looking for software :Windows: :Searching:

Hi! I'm in search of some kind of software than can help me sort, arrange, and rename many image files at once. For example, if you have a folder with a whole bunch of photos of your friends and you want to rename the files each one's name and also arrange them in the order you want beforehand. So the files would go from the default photo date/time format to something like "Bob-1, Bob-2, Bob-3, ... , Joe-1, Joe-2, Joe-3, ..." and so on.

The process is, like, open the software, open all of the Bob photos with it, Arrange them into the order you want, then tell it to rename all of them to "Bob-#" or something and it'll automatically rename those files to that format in that order.

Is there

I've been wanting to get into modding, and have sorta figured it out by making my own little compatibility between other mods plus the documentation. However, I want to work on editing some existing vanilla symbols/items. Problem is, I have no clue where to find the scripts for vanilla items, if they're even out there. I assume they're somewhere since I see mods on the workshop that edit vanilla symbols. Anyone know where I can find them?

Something like the above image. All I can find are listings with dimensions, but nothing tells me weight. Assume a 7ft. (2.13m) height from base to tip. Likely hollow to allow for the gas piping. Doesn't have to be exact, just a general range with room for differences in detailing. Thank you in advance!

I've heard it's possible to run a game with up to 16 players, so it's got me thinking. Has anyone done such a run 13 players, each controlling a different survivor? Searching Youtube for "Risk of Rain 2 with every character" only brings up how-to videos, so it's not exactly easy to find if someone's actually posted something like this. Anyone know if there are videos of this?

r/spiders•

I live in central North Carolina, US, and sometimes get wolf spiders in the house. Usually, we only see maybe three or four in a year, which I end up moving outside (My mom hates spiders, but is willing to let me move them out as a compromise). Thing is, this past month, we've seen wolf spiders at least a dozen times, sometimes alive and sometimes dead and sometimes somewhere in-between. I'm just confused as to why we're seeing so many within sure a short time. My guess is that maybe there was an egg sac somewhere that hatched and a lot of them ended up in the house. I figured ya'll might know more about what might've happened.
