I recently bought some Westone Star tips for my Shure Aonic 4’s and I love their sound but I took a serious knock in isolation in what should be air tight monitors.

I know I’m able to form a perfect seal because I can push in and create a vacuum that muffles all noise when I release so I’m certain it had to be the tips.

I’ve tried fitting some Dekoni Bullet tips into the cavity of the Westones but all it did was degrade the audio quality for very little difference in isolation.

Anyone know what I could do? I really like the sound but this “isolation” is too poor.

I’ve had my EVO’s for a while and the condition of the triple flange tips reflect it. They are vile and uncleanable and every time I try I feel like I’m putting a band-aid in the hole of a sinking ship. These are going to fail at some point and I wont have an alternative that offers the same sound.

I’ve tried the Etymotic tips for the ER4XR/SR and the solid grey ones for the ER4 and neither sound good. The double flange tips that came with my EVO’s sound significantly worse. I’ve even tried some Shure triple flange tips but those sucked as well. I dont want any foam tips because of how wasteful and expensive they can be, I just one a pair of good silicon tips that will last me longer.

Ages ago I found this map that tried to solve the issue of the map size limit by stacking multiple maps on top of each other above the skybox and teleporting you to another layer when you reach the border of and “walk” through the map

It wasn’t anything crazy, some layers only had a long highway, some had scattered buildings and other features like watchtowers, one layer even had a downed blimp skeleton, but for the most part it was just rolling fields. The edge of the map was just grey so there was really no way to tell where you would end up when you got teleported but it was still fun.

Has anyone heard of this map or any others like it?

How’s it going!

First off, I dont even know if this is possible or has already been done but I wanted to ask how to do this.

I love my KPH40’s and wish I could make them more portable so they are easier to take places (folding up to put in case and pocket). I bought a Porta Pro thanks to the prime day (week) sale that I plan to swap out the driver housings with the KPH40 to fix the portability but I’m wondering how far I can go, this is Koss *mods* after all.

So naturally, I wanted to know if it is possible to put the KPH40 drivers/driver assemblies *into* the Porta Pro Wireless’ chassis to use the wireless functionality and do it without sacrificing the great sound quality of the KPH

I know this is a bit of a niche topic considering that few people own these IEM’s and even fewer own the High and Clear tips considering they only come in a bundle of a bunch of other tips for $100 bit I figured if there was any chance of finding someone with this same niche combo its here.

So I’m aware that Shure IEM’s have a hit-or-miss rep in the audiophile community but what I’ve come to find is that most people agree that the Aonic 4’s are their best (I.E. most conventionally tuned) earphones.

I’ve had mine for a while and was happy with them. The slight thinness in the mids didn’t bother me too much as I have other earphones and the Shure’s added something unique that I would often

Looking for Upgrade Monitor

Should I Buy/Recommend me a...

Hey guys,

I’ve been using the Feelworld F5 ProX 5.5” for a while now but it has some limitations that add unneeded stress to my on site workflow and I need to replace it.

My biggest issue with it is that it’s not as sharp as I need it to be in order to accurately gauge focus. Even with autofocus telling me its locked on the image on the monitor still looks soft. I mainly do event work in low light environments where my autofocus reliability is dubious at best so I am frequently relying more and more on manual focus and the Feelworld makes it challenging to find the boundary of if I’m out of focus or if the monitor is just not showing me that I’m as sharp as my lens can get.

I love the Porta Pro series but I’ve always found them a little too dark and muddy and cant listen to them for long if I’m not in the right headspace, doesnt stop me from picking them up when I really want their sound and when I do I wont be able to put them back down. That happens rarely, and because of that I have been exploring pad options.

Naturally, the first set I tried were the Yaxi pads. While they did balanced out the sound somewhat I lost so much resolution with them that I actually preferred the stock pads with their dark muddy sound because the sound had so much more depth and clarity.

For a while I was rocking the official Large pads which helped a ton but not enough to where

Yes, yes, I am aware that this subreddit is primarily for audio players but I think this question is appropriate for here because the player app is a core function of a players operation. Also their official subreddit wanted me to install some kind of verification app and I did not want to deal with that.

I really like the app so far but there is just one thing I haven’t figured out.

So, I mainly listen to my music on shuffle, but often there is just one song I want to listen to before getting back to it. In any other app I would hold down the song, click ”Play Next”, then when the song I’m listening to is done it plays the song I selected before automatically returning to the shuffle q

Hello, I am looking for a Magsafe wallet that has a large enough pocket to hold and secure an ifi Hip DAC 3. A brief look on Amazon and a google search came up with nothing.

My plan is to put the Hip DAC upside down so the plugs and volume knob are pointing out of the bottom of my phone. I have already selected a cable that will transfer data to the Hip DAC but the actual Magsafe holder eludes me.

Has anyone come across this kind of holder?
