A much more concise explanation from Donald Hoffman regarding consciousness and why we do not see objective reality and why we are not as we seem. Draw any metaphysical conclusion from this you want; if any at all.

Zubin Damania, MD and cognitive scientist Don Hoffman discuss the fabric of reality.
Video description: *We have no clue how consciousness emerges from 3 pounds of wet goo. Cognitive scientist Don Hoffman takes us deep into his research suggesting we're attacking the problem backwards. The implications may challenge all you know about our place in reality. Take the Red Pill and see how deep the rabbit hole goes... In this extended interview we dive into the Interface Theory of Perception (how evolution hides the truth about reality in favor of a dumbed down "user interface" that only shows us "fitness payoffs" that help us survive),
I do not necessarily endorse anything I link, but present them for consideration to anyone exploring consciousness and metaphysics.
The True Nature Of Reality (w/Dr. Bernardo Kastrup) Yes, its two hours. Yes, I watched the whole thing. Yes, it’s worth the watch.
I stated the other day in this thread that I was working on transcribing the text of The Unalloyed, a Neville lecture that I really think is underrated and should get more attention but for which there was no transcript. I also stated that I was having difficulty understanding some of the words between the audio quality and Neville’s accent and some offered to help with the transcription if I would post time stamps of what I was having difficulty with. Well, here it is. This is a
Do not let anyone discourage you or belittle your efforts by asking, “Why don’t you walk on the water? Jesus did.” Do not be sidetracked by any of these futile suggestions, these mental obstructions which an unbeliever would seek to throw in your path. If we had the understanding which Jesus had, we would be able to walk on the water. I am not at all confused but he fact that we do not do this today.

In one of Holmes many, many books he gives the analogy of a bottle of dirty water and a few drops
I like this quiet corner of reddit that I have created even though I haven’t spent a great deal of time here. I have life responsibilities, family, and several interests that take up my time so even when I think “Oh, I want to write about this”, I usually only write it in my head and then move on because sitting down to compose my thoughts in a manner that I would want to share takes more time than I can or want to devote most of the time.
What I do want to do is write my thoughts regarding passages I’m reading and have read in the past, and that is going to be the focus in the future, albeit sporadically. I’m not in the least interested in growing this sub into something large and I’
In the past months I have studied the teachings of Ernest Holmes and find them to be a fantastic complement to the teachings of Neville, especially when used in combination. I had the chance to use both of these teachings to heal both my spouse and his supervisor within the past week and I wanted to share this because this is another one of those instances when use of the Law of Belief leaves me shook and in awe and with an eternal sense of appreciation and gratitude for these teachings. I used a Science of Mind treatment taught by Holmes and the visualizations and feeling teachings taught by Neville.
I’m not going to go in depth regarding the situation other than to say that my husband und

I see people confusing themselves quite often over terms and concepts used in the writings of metaphysical teachers such as Neville Goddard and Joesph Murphy. I know people confuse themselves about other metaphysics writers as well, but that isn’t my concern.
One of the concepts that I see people confusing themselves with is thinking that others are almost like puppets or that they are controlling every nuance of their own or someone else’s environment. Quite often people state that Goddard taught solipsism. No, he didn’t.
Here’s how to avoid
Affirmation adapted from This Thing Called You by Ernest Holmes
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. - Deuteronomy 31:6
It helps when understanding the concept of I AM in manifestation and the manipulation of reality based on consciousness to meditate on Bible verses meant to help man understand the intertwined nature of the spirit of God within man. Many times we are told in the Bible that God is a part of man, but many persist in
The following is an evolving list of my personal reading recommendations that explain relevant New Thought teachings related to manifestation and manipulating reality through consciousness. If I haven't read it or didn't find it particularly helpful when I did read it, I don't endorse it.
You can find all of these online for free if you look around, however I suggest getting a fresh, new copy and reading slowly and thoughtfully/prayerfully and making notes as you do so. Keeping a journal of key insights can also be very helpful.
