A bottle of beer doesn't cause any significant reaction for me. I'm pretty sure it's as refreshing for me as the next guy. I can drink a bunch of beer and get drunk and feel the normal drink symptoms I'm pretty sure anybody would feel. Wine, I can tolerate but not enjoy. I'll drink it if I'm at a fancy event and have to pretend to be an adult. But hard alcohol? Hard alcohol is revolting. I feel, taste, and smell nothing but the alcohol itself. I feel the stuff coat and burn my throat and I feel it do the same thing to my stomach. It's extraordinarily unpleasant.

My friends are very confused by this. What causes this? I would think that some kind of intolerance would mean I flat out couldn

Hey there, I'm in the middle of my lunch break and figured I'd write this up real quick.

I recently moved to Shingle Springs in California - from being around family in the suburbs to living in an old house in the woods. It's kind of a big change for me. I've always had a bit of a hard time making connections with people, and it's much harder these days after moving and uprooting. New living situation, new job, new social circle that I'm not really clicking with just yet... But I really don't want to fall back into my old socially anxious hermit-y ways.

I'm pretty introverted, so I've got a lot of the typical introverted hobbies you'd expect - I enjoy reading fiction, some video games,

I've reached that limit. She still thinks she loves me and needs me but wants to stay with her abuser, believing he'll change into somebody who's supportive. Somebody who was like me when we dated but without the burden of actually having to be in a relationship with me and change things herself. It won't happen. He hasn't changed in four years, why would he change now? And after turning me away so many times, I can't take it anymore.

New plan. Turn you away. Make you hate me until you're sick of me and cut me off again. Then end things before you decide to change your mind.

My girlfriend is going to be moving in with me soon, and her crazy mom won't be monitoring our location during our dates (long story there). She's also bisexual, and one day I really want to surprise her with a trip to a strip club. It'll honestly be pretty hilarious. But since she's under 21 I'm not sure if there are any (decent) clubs that she would be allowed entrance to. Does anybody know of any clubs that should work well for her?

The main dispensary has a wide variety of co2 pen cartridges but not a whole lot of flower. I've been looking for something to help me treat my social anxiety and for me at least, Alaskan Thunderfuck seems to really kick ass. But I can't really smoke pen cartridges regularly - they really murder my throat, when when I connect it to a water pipe. I've looked at dispensaries and what they have available according to sites like Weedmaps, but I have to search through strains by hand for each dispensary, and that's really time consuming for my area in California.

Is there a site or tool where I can easily find specific strains in my area via a simple search? I really don't want to have to basi

It's 2am and I'm surrounded by candy wrappers and pizza boxes. This is the third time this week I've binged. I'd say something like 4000 calories per binge, and that's low-balling.

Why do I keep on doing this? I joined a gym last month and I was going there religiously for a couple of weeks. Long enough and frequently enough to see real physical improvements. I was within a pound of my goal weight and following my 1650-1800 calorie budget just fine. Running at least a mile a day, more on cardio days, and always a bit of strength exercises. I was trying to cut a bit before I started eating at maintenance levels.

And then all of a sudden I kinda just.. Collapsed. It started maybe a coupl

Hey everyone. I recently moved to a new place, and I'm looking at this as a chance to sort of... Reinvent myself, I guess. For the longest time I've looked at parts of my life that I could improve or change but just... Haven't for some reason. So a new place, new location, all of that, and I want to use this as an opportunity to change some of those things I've been wanting to change for so long.

One of those things I want to change? Getting some new friends. Right now I've got me and my girlfriend and that's about as far as my social circle goes. Hopefully that's more because of crippling anxiety than social retardation but hey, maybe you'll be the judge of that one!

Hey guys. Long story short, I had to move from my parents on very short notice. Diet wise, this has affected me in two ways:

I now no longer have any snacks or easy to grab junk food sitting around (woo)

I have pretty much no food. I bought some very cheap and hopefully okay food to eat for the next couple of weeks, but I'm wondering how long I can sustain this before starting to suffer some kind of negative effects, and what I might need to add to make my diet more balanced and long term.

I have:

Eggs

Chicken

Brown rice

Black beans

Potatoes

Canned peas and corn

Opti-men multivitamin

I know straight off a need vegetables and greens. I just don't know if there are any vegetables

I can afford $800/mo in rent, not more. Even that's gonna be a rice-and-beans sort of lifestyle. I've been looking for about a week, and I can't really find anything aside from roomshares and really sketchy apartments. I'm not really asking for a place to crash, exactly (although if one of you is renting out definitely hit me up!) I'm more asking what areas might be safe to check out, or if anybody here knows of any apartments going up for rent within my budget soon that won't get me shanked within three months.

I'm a shop assistant for a small plumbing company, and after the sudden departure of the shop manager - the guy who also managed all the pre-fabbed copper pieces we make up for the field - I and the other assistants are being taught how to sweat copper. Today was my first day, and I put together some horrifically ugly but usable joints. All well and good, but after a lot of reaming, sanding, and playing with flux, my hands are stained green, and I can't seem to find a way to remove it quickly. This stuff is more stubborn than pipe dope, apparently.

I've got pumice hand cleaner, a heavy duty nylon brush, some strong general purpose soap (Dr. Bronner's), white vinegar, and a date on Saturda

I'm looking for an application that will automatically reply to messages I receive while driving. I'm wanting something not constantly monitoring location, at least somewhat easy on the battery, and unobtrusive. If it needs root access I can roll with that too.

Girlfriends parents aren't exactly fans of me. We've had plans to move into an apartment together some time around may, after she gets into college, and since that's coming up soon and we were planning on starting to look for a place, my girlfriend decided to tell her parents.

Instead, they've decided to kick her out by March 1st. So now we're caught with our pants down and don't have much time to find a place to stay. We're looking on Craigslist, and there's a decent number of roomshares, but I'm thinking the more sources we can look at, the better.

Thanks guys. I gotta be honest, this is a pretty shitty thing to go through.
