Hey all, i've been considering a house that will be near (circa 200m in straight line) a sewer pumping station and wastewater treatment plant. Facility has just been granted a permission. I was wondering if anyone lived near such facility and how bothersome it was

Why there's so little action from EU/EEA countries in response to the protests?

I would expect lobbying for liberal change and friendly relations would be a high priority due to resource cooperation opportunities, safty via stabilising the region and cutting of support for Russia.

Meanwhile there's close to nothing.

Salam, some time ago i've heard a song in farsi, chorus of which had a melody very similar to the chorus of the french song Voila (chorus starts around 1:30). I remember it was an emotional love song and the version i'v heard was sung by a man.

Hey, I've been looking up wiki on random Iranian cities and I've noticed most of them (at least the big ones) have a symbol (usually a motto/city name with some geometric/floral shape) that appears to work similar to European Coat of Arms & a motto. Could anyone point me to a source that would delve deeper into those seals - how are they assigned? are there any design rules? what's the meaning behind the designs?

Hey all, i'm considering buying my first hybrid - 2nd hand Toyota Corolla 2019 petrol-hybrid. I found a decently priced model, but during test car didn't want to start and we had to jump start it with cables & during the test drive AC went out of synch and started blowing cold from one side and hot from another. Found a quick fix on google to get it back in synch, which worked. All other systems worked fine.

Owner said that he was on a 2week holiday and car just sat there unused on the drive way. Seems a legit reason, potentially could happen with any car i assume.

Do you think such red flags are significant or can they be ignored? Oh and car was at Toyota garage for a check just few weeks

Będąc ostatnio na święta u rodziców w Polsce sporo naoglądałem się polskiej telewizji (nie licząc 1z10 to ostatni raz wiecej ogladalem może z 10 lat temu?) i mam nieodparte wrażenie, że niemalże mało kto w telewizji mówi normalnym głosem - od talkshowów przez pseudodokumenty po programy o dekorazji wnętrz, wszedzie ludzie drą morde jakby mówili capsem lub konfrontacyjnym tonem. (cos na modłę reklam media expert)

Po wieczorze oglądania aż dudniło mi w głowie. Zawsze tak było i dopiero po dluższym odwyku to zauważyłem czy to coś nowego? (czy może mi się zdaje)

So i've been to Portugal on holidays and during a walking tour we were passing one of the oldest (if not the oldest) house in Porto. Guide said that people are still living there, which made my think - how is plumbing done in such places? All around you got centuries old buildings which are super tightly packed. How did cities retrofitted such houses with plumbing?

/edit: Another would be - who the hell thought that metro line in Porto old town is feasible? Digging through a young city is a mess, imagining doing that through a center of such old city just gives me a headache
