I didn't visit Tumblr a whole lot when it was popular, but I remember the gist of the conversations going on there and it resembles a lot of what I see here moving between subreddits. Especially the fanficition ones. Tumblr was a website full of blogs written by edgy teenagers and academics with fringe views bouncing ideas off each other and acting as an echochamber. The more they interacted with each other, the more normal they began to think their behavior was, and the further fringe their views became. Until at some point they got comfortable sharing these fringe views (which they think are normal) with normal people. To be fair; Tumblr kind of kicked all their fringe people out - but I c

This is old, but I don't use Twitter, so it's new to me. lol Have you guys seen this before? If not what did you think of it? I actually enjoy the chemistry and choreography here. I wish they would do this or at least get this guy on the payroll for the show. I mean, it's not perfect, but it's pretty fucking awesome.

Sometimes I read comments and I can practically hear the Seinfield outro music and a laugh track playing behind it. I don't know if people are aware they sound like a character from a 90s sitcom or if they're doing it on accident - either way I always jolt back a little and think to myself "Nobody talks like that in real life,"

People are.

I think there's a consensus that states "[Social System A] is either the root of, or the cure for all the world's/nations problems - and if we just uprooted it or implemented [Social System B], then everything would run smoothly,"

But if the past few years have taught me anything it's, while the social systems may not help, if people with high influence and ill-intentions want to exploit it then they will. There's not a law, or a social system, that can undeniably change the desire of those who are willing to go to great lengths to use a system (any system) to their advantage. Changing of the system is just changing the clothes of that same emperor. The right says something s
