Dev doesn’t seem interested in updating this. Currently not working on my iPhone 12 on 14.2 running Taurine.

Been struggling with inconsistent, jumpy FPS while playing Overwatch. Lots of FPS spikes, from 200+ to 130 and back.

Trying to figure out if I’m CPU bottlenecked, or if there’s something else I can do. I think the GPU is fine, as OW is more CPU bound.

• I play on all low settings. No VSync.

• Changing render scale doesn’t help.

• Using Performance mode in nVidia cp.

• Game bar/Xbox apps turned off

• Temperatures are good. Low 50s on CPU under load. Low 60s on GPU.

• CPU Usage in game is around 30%

• GPU usage in game is around 75%

• I have tried running my CPU and GPU without any overclocks. I get worse performance.

Looking to upgrade my 1600AF to a newer processor.

Don’t need a cooler, just the CPU.

Technically a Frontier related question, but still have the old Verizon FIOS ONT and Router, so maybe you guys can help.

My house is not wired with Ethernet. I have COAX (and phone wires I think?) coming from the outdoor ONT to a indoor ONT with a battery backup? with a single COAX cable going to my office where the Verizon router lives. The rest of the COAX wires coming from the outdoor ONT box go to various rooms in the house, but are unused, as I don't have STBs anywhere.

Information & Issues:

• I only play Overwatch, and would like to get the best performance and highest FPS possible. I'm getting very inconsistent and unstable FPS. With seemingly random large drops in FPS.

Edit: I’ve narrowed down the culprit to Ultrasound. I guess it’s a no go on iOS 14?

Just got my iPhone 12 on 14.2, and jailbroke with the latest version of Taurine.

Not sure when it started happened, but my screen will randomly go completely black(like if it was turned off). I can still use the screen, like typing on the keyboard, or swiping on the home bar to go to the app switcher, but the screen just looks like it’s off. I have to press the power button and unlock it, to go back to what I was doing.

I’m not sure if it’s a bad tweak that’s causing it, as I’ve disabled all my tweaks and it still happens. I’m not even sure how to replicate it, just seems to happen randomly.

Would anyone be able to patch the latest Narhwal Reddit app with the following tweaks:

I'm not sure if this will even work, as both these tweaks have preferencebundles where you select options. Can anyone advise?

TL;DR: DO NOT restore your new jailbreakable device from an iTunes backup of a previously jailbroken phone (even if it was restore rootFS)

Story: Wanted a jailbreakable iPhone 12. Found one on Swappa, sealed new in box, on iOS 14.2.

It got dropped off today and I got started with setting it up. I restored rootFS twice using Odyssey on my iPhone 8+. Restoring rootFS was successful. I proceeded to backup my iPhone 8+ to iTunes. No problem here.

Next I set up my iPhone 12 and plugged it in to restore. No issues until the backup was complete. After turning off, the phone wouldn’t boot again. The Apple logo would flash, but it wouldn’t boot fully to Springboard. Uh oh.

Turns out

• TL;DR: Not sure if this is a new policy at Apple Stores, but they are now returning iPhones to warehouse if they were pulled from the back and you looked at them. Make sure you are able to purchase right when they pull them.

Story: Went into the Store today. Asked a very helpful employee to check the back for any iPhone 12s on my carrier with some specific serial numbers. I told him I was developing an app, and wanted to keep all my devices on the same IOS for ease of development. He understood and didn’t have an issue with it. Came back with the exact phone I wanted on 14.3.

Unfortunately I wasn’t authorized by my carrier to make purchases. He told me to call, auth myself and comeback

Checked the Apple Store for a jailbreakable iPhone 12. The employee was a bit salty and didn’t really want to check in the back. He eventually went back and pulled out what he thinks is the oldest box they have.

• The fourth and fifth letters of the serial are DH.

Checking with Reincubate, it says that it will most likely be on 14.1. I’m not sure if I trust this entirely.

• Is anyone able to double check or verify which version it’s most likely to be on?
• Should I try and ask for a serial with F instead of D?
