I’ve been watching the last few games at home. So I’m trying to make it more of an excuse just to get out of the house, especially now that’s it’s starting to get colder.

Preferably close to Sugar House, but also willing to go further out for a worthwhile spot!

Ozzy Osbourne’s death hit me harder than I realized at first. I feel like I’m realizing how much metal got me through some tough spots. My local radio station was playing Ozzy all day and it got me to crying. I can remember hearing his voice come through the radio as a kid and I just realized that genre is a place I always ran to. Just hit 4 days without alcohol today! I’ve tried doing this before, but something feels more serious about my try this time.

This is half venting/half looking for opinions. I’m pretty fed up with my parents. I’ll try not to go into too many details, but my mom has always been smothering and suffocating. When we’re together, it’s almost impossible to go anywhere without her following. If I don’t answer the phone right away, she’ll make comments like “I guess you must have been busy, huh?” And there have been multiple occasions where she assumed I was in the hospital or dead because I didn’t respond within an hour or two. And mind you, it wouldn’t be anything important, just wondering about how my week had been or something similar.

The final straw came on Christmas when my girlfriend and I were celebrating in the
