Hey there r/Minerals! Question for you all—

I have a new location for minerals in the US, and we are going through the processing of our claim currently. It is a very exciting time! However, being a lifelong collector but fairly new to the actual professional mining and gem industry, I am wondering how to get some quality, trustworthy assessments of value and overall demand for some of our specimens so far.

My primary hope is to understand how much time and resources we can pour into this new venture, and to begin to make connections.

Does anybody have any recommendations of how to get something like this done by fair and trustworthy dealers?? TIA!

First off, I know that no matter our personal political views, that we’re all incredibly upset and divided by the egregious actions being taken *both by and against* federal immigration law enforcement. We can probably all agree that trampling on civil liberties, as well as local/state/federal law, is not a means to a viable solution, and that it only serves to inflame tensions, endanger human lives, politically divide our populous, and detract from sensible and productive dialogue.

Right? Right.
