Hey everyone, I just bought a Fujifilm X-T30 III and it’s on the way, so now I’m researching lenses before it arrives.

For context, I used to shoot on an Olympus E-M10 with the Olympus 12-45mm f/4 PRO. It was my first “real” camera and I really liked that lens, but looking back, I feel like most of my photos were around the middle of the zoom range rather than constantly using the wide or tele ends.

I’m trying to keep things affordable (200-300USD max), so I’ve been looking at budget Fuji X-mount lenses, especially third-party options. The TTArtisan AF 27mm f/2.8 caught my eye because it’s tiny, cheap, and seems like a fun everyday/travel lens. From what I understand, it’s around a 40mm fu

Genuine question, and I’m asking this in good faith because I find it really interesting.

If someone migrates to a new country and later becomes a citizen there, do they usually still identify more strongly with the country they were born in? Or does that shift over time?

I started thinking about this because I know people who were born in China and later became Singaporean, but some of them still seem to identify more strongly with China in terms of culture, belonging, or emotional attachment.

So I’m curious how people in Singapore see this. Is citizenship mainly a legal status, while identity is something separate? Or do the two usually become more aligned over time?

Would love to hear

Hi all, my birthday is coming up soon and my girlfriend wants to treat me to dinner. I’d like to help her find a place that’s nice for a birthday meal but not too expensive, since I don’t want to strain her wallet.

Our budget is max around $150 for 2 pax in total.

We’re currently interested in places that serve Japanese food or steak, but we’re open to other suggestions too if they feel a bit special / worth it for a birthday dinner.

Would appreciate any recommendations for places in Singapore that are:

•	good for a birthday dinner

•	not too pricey

•	decent ambience

•	good food and value for money

Bonus if you have specific dish recommendations too. Thanks!

Hello fellow Apple Watch users,

During a recent hike, my Apple Watch’s battery unfortunately died less than a quarter into the journey. I’m attempting to manually add the workout details to the Health app to ensure my activity records remain accurate.

While entering the data, I noticed that the manual entry options are limited to duration and calories burned. I couldn’t find fields to input elevation gain or GPS data, which are crucial metrics for reflecting the intensity and specifics of my hike.

I’ve come across discussions suggesting that third-party apps like Strava might offer more comprehensive manual entry features. However, I’m keen on keeping all my workout data consolidated w

Hey everyone,

I’m in a bit of a bind here.

So I lost my ATM card here in Taipei, and after calling my bank, I found out there’s no way to withdraw cash without the physical card.

I’ve used up almost all the cash I brought with me to Taiwan, save for like 100 NTD.

Right now, all I have access to is my credit card on Apple Wallet. While I theoretically could get by with Visa payments for everything, this would effectively lock me out of transacting with any cash-only merchant, including night markets.

I’ve even asked around and confirmed with local 7-Eleven staff that cash withdrawal via contactless methods isn’t possible.

Any advice or alternative solutions would also be greatly appre

Hey r/discordapp!
I’m a smallish to medium sized content creator on YouTube with about 15k subs who's planning to set up a Discord server for my community.

It'll be a way for me to promote my new videos while at the same time allowing existing subscribers to mingle with other like-minded members.

The thing is, I’m kinda new to this Discord thing and I realize that I have absolutely no idea how to set up my server. I was wondering if you guys had any advice on how I should set up the text and voice channels, as well as any recommendations for bots that I should add for a server of this size.

If it helps, my channel is in the gaming niche.

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance!

Hey all!

Picture this: your team just lost a buy round, you’re stuck with about 2000-3000 credits, and you have no choice but to save. What weapon are you buying, if any?

I’m be making a YouTube video based on the results of this poll; you can watch it, not want to watch it, I don’t care. But if you could take a few seconds of your time to vote I would really appreciate it :)

In 2021, I decided to download VALORANT because a couple of my mates were playing it. Back then, I still remember I played with an eDPI of 1000, was placed in Iron 3, and had absolutely no idea wtf I was doing.

Every match felt new and exciting learning about all the different maps and agents. I played a ton of 5 stack ranked with my mates, where we did a ton of stupid shit for fun without caring about winning or losing.

I still have this core memory of getting my first Ace on Icebox which I swear was 80% pure luck, because I simply didn’t have any idea what I was doing and was praying that the enemies would walk into my crosshair.

Fast forward to today, where I’m currently ranked Immort

Hey Reddit fam,

Let's just say that every time I let out some gas or go take a dump, it literally smells like my insides were having a rave and the guest list includes every noxious gas known to mankind.

I work as an EMT and one time, I broke wind inside our ambulance (no patients inside, thank god). My colleague said that he felt like he was being trapped inside a WW2 gas chamber.

Any advice besides moving to a deserted island? Diet tips? Febreze for my buttcrack (don't judge, I'm desperate)? Hit me with your best shot!

I was watching a few of my old clips all the way from 2022 and I noticed that the victory sfx (the little jingle that plays after you win) sounded a little different.

The funny thing is, I never seemed to notice the change at all, even though I’ve been playing on and off from 2021 up until now. Did anyone else notice it?
