I recently ended a long-distance thing with an American girl after a trip together that made me realize we were too different, especially financially.
I’m from Portugal, she’s from the US. Before the trip, I assumed we’d generally split expenses or take turns paying. During the trip, money became a huge source of tension. She felt I was making her feel bad about the money I was spending, while I felt she expected me to cover far more than I was comfortable with. I was covering it all basically and she said that’s how it works in America. The man pays for everything.

She ended up leaving the trip early because she didn’t want to be in that situation anymore as I wasn’t paying for her stu

Ela p

With the increasing prices of all sorts of tech thanks to AI, and with most games nowadays being either a copy paste of one another or a Remaster/Remake, I got sick of it. Gaming nowadays seems like a luxury hobby, which kind of always was, but this is getting unbearable. Why pay for overpriced hardware, games and subscriptions when for less than 50 bucks you can get a pocket console and just emulate TONS of older games which now run even better than the original hardware, and I probably missed out on anyways? I don’t care if the graphics are old, if the game is “outdated”… is it ever really?

I just got an R36S, which I know isn’t the best one on the market, but for me it was the best choic

Hey everyone, I (24M, European) am currently on a 2-week vacation in Italy with my girlfriend (26F, American) who flew over from the US to be with me. We really love each other, but we’ve hit a massive wall regarding finances and relationship expectations, and things have escalated to a breaking point on just day two. I admit this is something we should have talked about before even getting on a plane, and that I will always regret.
Here is the breakdown of the situation:

The Expectation: She comes from a culture/background where she expects the man to be the provider and pay for everything. To her, this is how "true love" and romance look. I should be the one paying for the entire t

O meu voo, a nossa estadia, a comida, as compras. Title. I’ve had it on my backlog for a decade now. I play on PlayStation so my biggest problem would be the 30fps, because I don’t really care about graphics. Still, is it worth spending 60 Bucks on a remake of a game I never played? I know I’ll like it and I really wanna play it, it’s just that I don’t know if the extra money is well spent when I have the original just sitting there untouched
