I seriously love taro, for making it normal, acceptable and in a way expected for certain characters to be sexualized. As someone who is really deep into cultural analysis, it becomes more and more difficult to just casually enjoy sexual art. But here I can relax.

What makes this truly great, is that art with sexual elements does not only have to be sexual. Since these characters are inherently and deliberately sexy, it is possible for art to exist, which is primarily focused on action, drama, emotion etc., while still incorporating sexual elements, without feeling uncanny. This makes it possible for characters to be complex, capable, emotional etc. and sexy at the same time, which is

A while ago I saw a post where somebody was talking about the fact, that almost every single character you ever played is fully capable of hitting a moving target at 20 ft of range with a knife. This seems ridiculous but it actually isn't. It's one of the oldest cliches, that adventurers spent a lot of time in taverns. While billiard wasn't invented yet, darts were most definitely a thing. So it isn't too far fetched to assume that basically every adventurer spends a bunch of time playing darts. From now on, every tavern in my campaigns will be hosting a regular dart tournament.

edit: please don't overthink this. it's mostly meant as a joke.

I am a bi man in a relationship with a bi woman. Before specifically looking for bi online communities on reddit and tumblr, I never even considered that my sexuality might not be valid (at least not since I stopped doubting it myself about a year ago). Ever since joining this sub, these posts keep popping up, reassuring me of something, I was never truly challenged about. What is going on here?

For a bit of context: I've never been a member of any major LGBTQ+ community, which is mostly due to me not seriously looking for them until recently. I got curious after reading about sexual identity and tumblr for a paper I'm currently writing, Because of this, I was completely unaware of any cont

Hello there.

I've been a DM for D&D 5e for a few months at this point and while the system feels absolutely amazing, there are a few things which bothered me from the beginning.

  1. The way HP and dying are represented in the mechanics
  2. The lack of weapon variety.

Since I only have very limited experience with the system, I wanted to run my ideas to fix these past the reddit hive mind, just to make sure that I don't unintentionally screw my players.

like mentioned in the title, this post focuses on the 1. issue. to fix number 2 I am currently checking out pathfinder 2e with it's additional features like trip, disarm, sweep etc. and it seems to be pretty much exactly what I've been l

I really want to play DOOM, but my PC is pretty shitty. The only other option for gaming available to me is my PS4. Here is my question: Can I connect mouse and keyboard to my PS4 to get the proper FPS experience, or would you rather advise me to just play with controller? I never tried to play games on PS4 with mouse and keyboard, so I am not really sure whether this actually works.

Pretty much the title. I love bloodborne, so when I went into Sekiro, I tried to play it like Bloodborne. This lead to extreme frustration. Sekiro has some extremely brutal and sometimes unfair hitboxes, and the posture system makes the game downright unplayable if you don't focus on deflecting. This lead to one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I've ever had, especially since I saw how beautiful this game was, how clean the movement and stealth. I really wanted to enjoy it. After taking a break, coming back, spending some time with our favourite Zombie, I managed to adapt and now I can finally enjoy this amazing game how it was meant to be. Currently debating on whether I want to c

pretty much the title. I was stuck over an hour each on the red eyed ogre and the general right behind him surrounded by the stealth montage. I first attempted to beat the game with the usual souls-like approach (spacing, timing, weaving in light attacks between dodges, trying to fish for parries vs safe attacks). With this method these mini bosses were more difficult than Gherman or Soul of Cinder. Insane damage, high health, brutal hit boxes, (seemingly) erratic movement.

Then I heard someone say that the game was basically a visual rhythm game. With this new thought and a bit of help by our favourite zombie it finally clicked. while the stealth montage guy still is kind of
