I thought it was too good to be true and unfortunately I was right. They ran a 100 dollar promotion for 50 deliveries, and I thought "Hmm, this is strange, but let's see what happens." They had started doing random 1.00 peak pay in the middle of the afternoon which I had suspected was only to pay me with my own Prop 22 stipend money, and now this confirms it.

I do over 100 deliveries a week, so it wasn't like it was any hardship to achieve the 50 deliveries, but I wanted to see what they were doing.

Sure enough, they are taking your Prop 22 money, disguising it as either peak pay or promotion money and acting like they are doing something nice.

I finished the 50 deliveries for 100 dolla

New trick for California drivers?

🖖Delivery War Stories 🫡

They started adding a random 1.00 peak pay during the afternoon everyday when it isn’t even busy.

My theory is that they are now trying to pay you some of your proposition 22 money by giving it to you upfront by putting it in a peak pay when orders are shitty anyway.

So it may seem like something nice but it’s giving you something you were already getting anyway and trying to trick you into taking five dollar orders that are actually four dollars.

Let me know if you disagree. It’s a working theory but my prop 22 money went down about the amount I earned in peak pay.

This completely violates the spirit of Proposition 22.

I am Platinum status working on my third Platinum pass, and I took most orders, only rejected orders that were zero tip or in areas with sketchy GPS that would put me at risk for CVs.

I'm writing this because in California, we shouldn't have to work 63 hours to qualify for the full health insurance payment.

I feel they are intentionally throttling full time drivers in California so they have to pay less health insurance stipend.

If I worked sixty hours, I used to average 40 hours of active time. But slowly but surely they have been grinding me down, and this is the only reason I can think of that they might do this.

Even if they cl

After my first delivery today, I will have three platinum passes.

I asked three different AI this question, but they don't understand it well enough. Is there any strategic advantage to holding all three? Or should I use one after my first streak of bad orders, and then start earning the third pass again.

I don't know if this makes sense, but I've asked this question before and no one seems to have mastered the art of maximizing the benefits of the Platinum pass or have come up with the best strategy on how to use them.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The newest dirty trick…

🤬App Issues 😩

Recently out of nowhere, the app started pausing me. I’m platinum but I’ve been struggling because DoorDash keeps spamming me with five dollar or even no tip orders during dinner time on the weekends.

I realize if I keep accepting five dollar orders, that’s all they will send me, so I started declining as many as possible and still keep platinum.

So here I am at 80% AR and I keep getting paused. I called support and asked them what the problem was. They said that the app will pause you if it senses you are in an area with a bad connection. This hotspot does not have a good signal but I have been driving here for years without issue.

My theory is that they are intentionally booting dri

I just want to say

:snoo_angry:Complaints:snoo_angry:

I really resent the way they have been posting our hours in days instead of hours like every normal company.

Ever hear of the 1 day 16 hour work week?

Where I come from it's always 40 hours. But they write it like this to make it harder to calculate your hourly wages.

Just one more dirty trick after another.

I just got a stacked order where you go to one restaurant, then deliver, then go to another restaurant then deliver. It makes sense but it was the first time I ever got one of these.

Anyone else get one like this?

California Healthcare stipend

❔Driver Question 🤔

Sorry for writing this, but I've been calling Doordash and they say no one can help me about health insurance over the phone.

I'm curious if anyone has applied and received confirmation or payment for their health insurance this quarter.

The reason I ask is because there was a change on the form and I didn't see Kaiser as one of the options on the form.

So I manually filled "Kaiser" and I still haven't received any confirmation. It seems crazy they don't even have one person dedicated to answering these questions.

I filled out the email but I was curious if anyone else had faced delays.

TIA

Is it just my zone?

:doge:Wholesome🥰

Tonight I closed my shift and saw that every single on time and late delivery was itemized to the minute.

My on time rating has climbed from the 80s to 94.

This transparency is a game changer in terms of the new on time rating for platinum.

I always complain about Doordash, but I wanted to thank them for this improvement and listening to our feedback.

Also when I asked about my acceptance rate, they were able to tell me which orders I declined, giving me both the restaurant and the time I declined the order.

Hope it stays this way, and if it isn't in your zone yet, hope everyone gets it.

10 plus orders with 100% accuracy.

❔Driver Question 🤔

I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but I seriously feel like I've gone hundreds of orders if not even a few thousand with 100% accuracy.

When I see ten plus orders, all this does is make me think I've had an enormous amount of error all these years and I've been worrying needlessly.

One of the dumbest notifications I've ever encountered on the app.
