My son was involved in a fairly serious car accident today. No one was hurt. He’s in shock and beating himself up about losing his new (to him) car, the financial impact of replacing it, and the insurance repercussions.

I’m grateful he’s ok, and I still get to see him tomorrow.

For example, they have a personal rule of “no sex for 3 months” and you’re ok with that. When you got there, did it feel more special or intimate because you had already bonded non-sexually?

Or was it more of an “OMG Finally!!” and more or less the same as relationships without the wait time?

Are there any decent pool halls left? Not dingy bars with the 1 or 2 coin ops. Ideally snooker too, but I know that’s a remote chance.

I recently rewatched What Dreams May Come, and I’m a hot mess.

Hey all, I have two male cats 6 “L” & 4 “B”. They’ve been together since the younger was 8 weeks. Beyond the initial “new guy” tension, it’s been great for 4 years.

Suddenly they hate each other. Literally one morning (almost a week ago) I fed them and all was fine. I went out for a couple of hours and when I came back they were in a literal screaming fight that I had to break up. Since then, they cannot be in the same room. Hissing starts immediately and if they are within 3 feet of each other, it turns into a scrap.

L has always been happy to be near people but not much of a cuddler.

B loves cuddles and even at 4 has a very kitten-like mentality. Plays with everything.

So I just did my first fill up in a 2026 Elantra HEV and the mileage is really good. 6.5 L/100km (36mpg). For cold weather this feels good. In the summer it’ll fall quite a bit.

For reference, my 2023 Tucson HEV was 9.2L/100km (25.5mpg) two weeks back. In the summer that would drop to high 6’s (~35mpg)

Driving for both readings were probably 70/30 city/hwy, in cold conditions.

Currently in a ‘23 Tucson Hybrid after a ‘19 Elantra.

Love the Tucson but when I got it, I wanted it too badly. Car supply was low so I paid top price. Interest rates were high, so the lease payments were (are) silly. It’s my only regret.

Hyundai offered a lease buyback (walk away) if I go for a new car lease. 2% discount on the rate as well. Financially it’s a no brainer (saving a ton per month), and honestly I really miss the Elantra.

So … ‘26 Elantra Luxury Hybrid is being picked up this week. Looking forward to the much better fuel efficiency too!

This has been absolutely maddening.

I have a demo account as I was considering moving to IBKR. Ultimately I found somewhere that suits me better.

In the meantime, I continue to get 3-5 emails per day from IBKR that I just immediately delete. So here I am today trying to either unsubscribe from all notifications or delete my demo account altogether. Ideally both.

Nope. Can’t. No open positions, no open orders. No option to unsubscribe from emails or to close my account.

Short of flagging the IBKR domain as spam and blacklisting it, surely there must be a better way?

Wondering if anyone has experienced a random crash and reboot of the infotainment system since the Nov2025 update?

Mid drive today, the entire thing went dark and went through its hard boot sequence (as it does immediately after an update).

I updated a couple weeks back and this is the first time it’s ever happened.
