I loved the first three books, and there’s the common complaint about book 4 is how similar the voice actors for Harry and Ron are. I’m about to finish GOF and there were times I struggled mightily between them.
But I haven’t seen much discussion about the later books. Are books 5-7 just as bad?
I don't follow online discourse very much, so this may be a common sentiment here or may be truly unpopular, but I find Hagrid incredibly exhausting.
Nearly every subplot with Hagrid is him doing something he was explicitly told not to do or behaving incredibly careless. Norbert, Fluffy, Aragog (both as a student and in Book 2), Buckbeak, Grawp...then he acts like "well, I jus' can't help it" when doing yet another dangerous/reckless thing.
He's 60+ years old, yet he constantly puts Harry, Ron, and Hermione in positions where THEY have to manage HIS feelings. Like they're children having to console a grown man again because he's crying again over another avoidable decision he made.
He
I try using the search function and that message pops up. I can't find anywhere in the settings to enable it, and when I ask Claude where it is, it just hallucinates how and points to spots in the settings that don't exist. I can't find any discussion on it here.
Am I missing something? How do I enable the search feature?
Having spent a lot of time the last few days shopping for a Prime Deal vacuum, the one thing that jumps out for me is how utterly stupid the naming schemes are across the board.
Literally no company makes it clear by name if a model is better, worse, or just different from a different model. Almost everyone uses the exact same "Letter-two numbers" with "Plus or Ultra" or maybe just more letters or numbers. You have to just brute force memorize which letter is the flagship for which brand.
Look at Roborock as the market share leader. Go to their Amazon page and look at the absolute absurdity of their names.

I can find a smattering of pre-release discussion from early-mid 2022, but then after the show actually released in September 2022, I can't find a single mention of it...searching this sub brings up nothing, and reading the titles/descriptions of the podcast episodes around that time comes up empty. Searched their YT and I found one S2 preview discussion. I found one post about a watch party on FB but I can't find an easy way to find that except scrolling for ages.
But surely an event as big as two seasons of Rings of Power for people this steeped in Tolkien lore and LOTR love would be all over it covering it episode by episode and breaking it down, right? Are they only posted exclusively s
My spouse and I are looking to buy our fourth robot vacuum. We had some $200 Samsung one, then a Eureka E20, then a replacement Eureka E20.
I know Samsung and Eureka aren't top of the line brands in the robot vacuum world, but each one worked flawlessly for maybe three months before it started having issues. The Samsung eventually could only go about 10 minutes on its battery and buying a replacement battery seemed to brick it, and the Eurekas seemed to be more software-based; it would start its session, look around aimlessly, then say it can't do it and die. Then its replacement stopped being able to lower its mop no matter the troubleshooting. Each time, it was just a few months old.
So
I’ve been using WAN2.2 for image generation because I’ve found it’s way better than other options in terms of realism, but it’s absolute garbage at generating text.
What’s the best method for fixing that? What model/workflow can maybe utilize inpainting to make non-gibberish text?
Instead of being happy with my workflows, I’m looking for methods that might be ever so slightly better. I have a good flux workflow that generates what I need but then I try to see if SDXL would be better, then look for ways to increase the speed, or any Lora’s to make them better, or ways to sharpen them more efficiently.
Maybe I need a built-in LLM to help with prompting. Perhaps flux Krea would be better for me. Or Qwen. Wan 2.2 t2i seems really high quality, I should invest in that. This nsfw model has been good but someone posted images using a different one and maybe I should switch. I have a good wan2.1 video workflow but someone just posted theirs and maybe it’s better than mine
I distinctly remember growing up (20-25 years ago in the upper midwest) Dr Pepper's 20oz plastic bottle shape was kind of like this but with a much more cone-shaped top and a shorter bottom. And it didn't have any DP logo imprinted in the plastic, it was perfectly smooth.
However, I cannot so much as find a picture of it, and even sites that have a history of bottle designs don't seem to have it. It was basically the exact shape of the old glass bottle but with the plastic bottle legs.

I don't know if this is the right sub or not. I've tried several, and nothing's worked so far. I'm just looking for someone with audio editing skills to clean up a clip.
My dad recently passed away. When he was in the hospital, I recorded saying I love you and got his "I love you too" on my phone. https://on.soundcloud.com/wu6pG3bpXQKwNNML7
However, it's not the cleanest as there is background noise from the TV and me moving. I want to clean it up as much as I can for obvious reasons. I put it through the voice isolation in Davinci Resolve, and it did a good job of removing the background noise but now it sounds quite muffled. https://on.soundcloud.com/mVNJ6kygh1d4D6qK9

I think it's because of the single bar helmet that made it look like it could be something out of a 1940s gridiron game.
But look at this man and tell me that doesn't look like your grandpa fixin' to lace up his boots and kick the ole pigskin around as he shows the youngins what for.

Due to his condition, he wasn't able to speak very crisply to begin with, but it still feels like there's a bit of processing muffling going on. He also said "don't forget" but I had alread
