I posted a few months ago about my sightings that took place in 2025, and how they dropped off at the end of the year. Looking back on it now I believe it was some sort of "flap" my family and I witnessed.

As a follow-up, I even found an article on it a few months ago that affirmed, this was viewed by a lot of people across Canada, with a high concentration in my province. It's a mainstream media outlet that did the story, so it was a pretty dry read.

But at the end of the article it mentioned the same details I did, the sightings were highest in winter

So last year in February I had a sighting that led me down a long road of research and introspection, it's a whole other story. But the first night it was spectacular, I have never seen them move in and around the forest like I did that first night. It seemed like every night after that at the same times and same locations I'd see "orbs" appearing and disappearing like fireflies.

It got to be so predictable I kind of dismissed them as satellites, even though I watch the sky every night and I know what satellites look like. And these would change directions and speeds and things I just.. I couldn't understand how they were doing this in the sky and I never noticed, how no one else noticed.

I found this article last month but kind of dismissed it at first after only finding two news sources posting about it on non-reputable sources. But then I found a paper in the Astronomical Journal (which I think is legit?)

100 mysterious blinking lights in the night sky could be evidence of alien life... https://nypost.com/2019/12/16/mysterious-light-in-sky-could-be-sign-of-alien-life-experts-say/

TLDR: Essentially it's saying that these "vanishing and reappearing lights" are most likely phenomena we just don't understand yet like vanishing/dying stars, failed supernovae etc.. or they might possibly be alien life, transmitting signals or data far distances by way of Dyson Sphere.
