I'm making a stardew clone strictly for learning, could anyone help with sizing tile and player? Unity.

I made a 16x16 tile in aseprite.

Then used a square placeholder in Unity. X1 y1

Orthographic camera 5

When I pressed play my character was ONE PIXEL in size! Obviously making my tile look horrible since I was the same size as a pixel.

What should I be using for sizes?

In the process of making a stardew/graveyard keeper clone. Curious who else is, what resources you're using like tutorials or classes anything in that vein.

Intent is to make a clone for learning, then change to fit my vision add story elements and characters.

As I'm nearing the end of my first game which was designed with simplicity in mind. Can anyone (ideally someone that has released) tell me if a game is simple but has replayability, like not a story game- think mobile phone Frogger, is it something to charge for? Should I implement ads even though nobody has intentionally clicked an ad? Should it be free? Should it be $1-2

I have nobody to discuss this with as my peers are not into game dev.

I'm not looking for someone to tell me what to do, more just hear thoughts and opinions to help me figure out what to do.

In the vein of stardew/graveyard keeper.

I would like to recreate tiny elements of each to learn how to do it.

Like how to set "tiles" and make a map. (Lets start with like a 5x5 square)

How to allow walking/ working on certain tiles only.

How to build a fence around plots.

I'm trying to think very minimal for learning.

Press X to til, press x on till soil to plant, x to water, then crop is grown.

I know everyone that's ever opened UE can and will say "its not that simple, what about five hundred other variables?"

I just want the most direct way to learn how to do the things I requested.
