I recently set up the Google Assistant integration (manual setup) using the steps here: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/google_assistant/

While my devices appear in Google Home now, and also report the correct state of each device, any time I try to command a device, the Google Home app says "something went wrong".

Now, I know this is likely a Google Home issue, but it happened immediately when I set up the Google Assistant integration with HA, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue when following that guide.

More info:

I've been using the Nvidia Shield to play on GeForce NOW for some time now without problems, but recently (within the last few days) I am unable to use the NVIDIA Games app.

We need to download additional game data. This may take longer than usual.

After the spinner spins for about 2 minutes, it gives up and displays.

Can't connect to NVIDIA. Try again later

I am able to launch directly into games from the shortcuts that get installed as apps, but unable to get into my library to play games that don't yet have a shortcut. I am also able to play without issue on my Android phone and on my Mac.

I'm wondering if anybody else has seen this error recently (latest post was from ov

I have Stranger Things 3 on the epic games store and am aware the game obeys the system language settings without the option to explicitly change it.

When I play the game natively on a Mac with the desired language set (Japanese) the game runs as expected, but if I start the game from any device (Android phone, Shield TV, Mac) on GeForce NOW the game defaults to English.

Epic launcher is set to Japanese and my other games (Just Cause 4, for example) have the desired language set automatically, but for some reason Stranger Things 3 refuses to start in any language other than English.

This is a very niche issue, but I hope somebody has some insight. Thanks!

After looking at the recent thread about all the different machine types, I was wondering if anybody on a GFN partner service (Russia, Korea, Japan) has landed on hardware other than the 2060c system.

My problem is that when playing DayZ I only land on 2060c and the 8GB of RAM is not enough and the game always crashes after about 30-45 minutes. A Windows out of memory error appears so I'm fairly certain this is the case.

When I used to play on US GFN (from Japan), I would land on 1080 systems and was able to play for hours and hours without any crashes even though the latency was pretty high.

I don't have a

Not sure if it's a bug on Google's end, but I was able to redeem the code I received for purchasing a Pixel 2 in the US Google Store for a free Google Home Mini in the Japanese Google Store.

The promotion fineprint said it is only available for those in the US and must be redeemed in the US store, so I was surprised to see this worked-- I was about to give me code away!

The Home Mini retails for 6,500 yen here, so big savings compared to the current $29 in the US.

With the Chromecast now available for purchase in a slew of countries, we're going to have a bunch of new users in this subreddit.

We will have a lot of repeat questions, questions that we may have asked and answered months ago. Let's do our best to help the new users by linking to the existing threads with answers instead of just telling users to search (it's really not that great!).

Perhaps we can get a sticky with a bunch of very common questions, where to buy in the new countries, and anything else that will generally help new Chromecasters.

This is a good subreddit, let's keep it going that way (:
