A friend of mine has a SW1911 subcompact "Pro Series." It doesn't say "Performance Center" anywhere on the gun, but it does look very similar to this:

https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/1911-performance-center?sku=178020

He bought it from someone who liked to tinker with things, so he asked me for help with getting it back to factory condition. My problem is I can't seem to find a source for a few of the proprietary parts. Does anyone know how to buy parts from Smith and Wesson for these guns? I'll definitely need a new grip safety and firing pin, but there's probably going to be a few other parts that aren't common with standard 1911 patterns.

I called S&W customer service and

I have a question about the possibility of removing what appears to be an abandoned drain vent pipe.

I'm working on a fairly invasive remodel. While removing a wall, I found a 2" drain vent pipe that is not connected to any fixtures. It's still connected to a drain pipe somewhere below the basement floor. I can see condensation on a piece of plastic wrap that I used to temporarily cap the stack on the roof. At one point in the house's history, there was a sink that used the drain and vent, but it's long gone and the tee into the pipe is capped. There are no remaining water fixtures on that side of the wet wall in the entire house. About 10' away there is a 2" drain installed in the fl

Just tossing out a very open-ended question. I have a major renovation project this winter. One of the early tasks is basically opening up and refinishing the drywall for nearly all the walls and ceilings. While I have access to the framing, I'll be running a lot of new A/C, low-voltage, and data cabling.

The major reason I'm asking for cool ideas right now, is that I'm opening walls in about two weeks, and I have a limited amount of time to have the electrical inspections completed.

I'm interested in future-proofing as much as I can for automation. I'll probably end up with a mix of wired and wireless devices to run automation. At this point in the project, almost nothing is off the

This is just a PSA for folks submitting EFORMs.

I just ran into a hiccup finalizing a Form 1. The examiner was very patient with me, so everything worked out, but it didn't feel great to waste her time.

Apparently MS Edge stores form information differently than Adobe Reader/Pro. I tried copying an old Form 23 and just updating the information pertinent to the current submission. Edge showed the information correctly (even after closing it and reopening). I re-downloaded Adobe Reader, and it was showing the original form information (what the examiner was seeing). Admittedly, it was suspicious that Edge wasn't forcing me to save the updated PDF as a new file like Reader does.

The following prices include shipping to CONUS. Which means, many of these things are technically free. If you want to buy multiple things, and save me some trouble, I'm willing to be generous with combo deals.

InForce APL (full size, gen 1): $45

Always stored with the head untwisted a half turn. If you know, you know. This was on my FNX 45T, and has less than 90 rounds on it when it was on the gun.

Custom Made FNX 45T + InForce APL Light-bearing OWB Black Kydex Holster: $20

This is actually a really well-made holster. If it wasn't specific to the gun+light combo, I'd keep it

Selling my Foxtrot Mike FM-9 7" complete upper receiver assembly. This includes the BCG with flat-face "key" that interfaces with their special side-charger. You'll also get the swap-able charging handle plates to change the width of the grip, or even run it on both sides. All the plates are reversible, too, in case you want to charge on the right side.

It shoots great and is perfectly reliable with a PCC-weight buffer (I used an Expo Arms buffer).

I'm selling this because I bought a .45 suppressor that doesn't fit under the handguard. And, since the side charger precludes swapping the handguard to a shorter one,

Looking to sell a new/unused .450 BM upper assembly. The picture of the box (below) is exactly how I received it before taking the upper out for pictures. The box is beat up, but the upper is unaffected. Being brand new, BCA's warranty is still in effect. But, if you run into a hiccup, let me know if they have issues without the original purchaser being involved.

It's the 10.5" version with standard charging. Includes the original BCG and charging handle. All the specs are listed here:

Selling the Magpul polymer stock that's a take-off from a T/C R22. This should work with any 10/22 action, but I don't have one to test against. I replaced this stock with a 10/22 stock, and the T/C action fit in that stock.

The stock is OD green. This is not the same thing as a Magpul X-22 stock. The main differences are this one has no built-in adjustable cheek riser, sling loops, and I don't know if it will take additional butt pad spacer plates.

This is exactly what came off the rifle, and there is no additional hardware that was included with the stock.

The gun had 320 rounds on it before taking off the stock. See photos for condition:

This is a bit of a long shot, but thought I'd throw this out there. I had been planning to build this before the whole run on guns and gun parts hit, so I'm willing to pay (via PayPal) appropriately given the current demand.

For reference, I'm looking for one of these:

If you happen to have one of these kits sitting in a parts bin somewhere, and you'd like to give it a home where it'll be used to train, teach, and compete, let me help stimulate your other lock-down purchases.

Also, if you have a lightly used Kahles K16i (SM1) that's not making you as happy as a larger PayPal balance would, let me know

I upgraded the trigger in my Howa 1500, and decided this trigger wasn't for me. It's the standard 3 lbs model (SKU 609), but pull weight is adjustable around +/- 1 lbs. It's very simple to install using your existing trigger screw.

It was installed for about 20 rounds. I adjusted it to add a little creep (which is still almost nothing), but the instructions (included) show how to return it to the factory creep.
